How long does the CMC Markets application take? ›

When we've confirmed your ID or you are electronically identified, we'll process your application and open your share trading account. This process is usually completed with 1-2 days.

Our aim is to help you start trading as quickly as possible. If you have already provided your supporting documents, for most customers this will happen within minutes. However, there will be cases where additional documentation is needed before we can process your account application.

Withdrawal requests received before 11.00am will be processed that day - provided the funds are cleared. Withdrawal requests received after 11:00 am will be processed the next business day. Withdrawals can take up to 2 business days before the funds are available in your nominated external bank account.

CMC Markets is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, which means that we must comply with FCA client assets regulation, known as CASS.

Security. CMC Markets is regulated through the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under registration number 173730. The broker also takes steps to ensure client funds are not co-mingled with corporate funds, in accordance with the U.K. FCA's client money rules.

Similarly, there is no minimum withdrawal. All customer funds are stored in segregated accounts, thereby providing an extra layer of security. Furthermore, all customer accounts are fully insured by CMC Markets.

What bank does CMC Markets use? ›

Similar to the Bankwest Cash Account, the ANZ Cash Account is an account with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group operated by CMC Markets Invest under your instructions.

You'll need details of the stocks and shares you'd like to transfer to us, along with your account details with your current broker. You'll also need to have a printer handy as we need a 'wet' signature on your transfer form; then you just take a photo of your completed form and ID documents and email them back to us.

Inactivity fees

There is a monthly charge of $15 (the amount depends on your account currency) on dormant accounts, but no deduction is made if there are no funds in the account. An account is considered dormant if there has been no trading activity for a continuous period of 12 months.

The good news is US stocks (and other international shares) can be traded as easily as domestic ones on CMC's share trading platform.

Our currency conversion rate will be the mid-price of our foreign exchange cash product for the currency pair +/- 0.5%.

The listing process on CMC usually takes 2 to 14 days (if you completed all steps correctly). The main factors that determine the timeline are: How quickly the token team provides a complete and accurate application. Only full and clear information leads to success.

Deposit funds from your bank account into your Cash Account. Transfers may take 1-2 business days to reach your account.
