Why is my debit card not eligible for PayPal Instant Transfer? ›

Your debit card or bank account may not be eligible to process the instant transfer. Select a different bank or card that supports instant transfer from PayPal. The information you entered when linking your bank account doesn't match what your bank has on file. Double-check your bank information.

You can only do Venmo Instant Transfers with a U.S. bank account, or a Visa or Mastercard debit card that participates in Venmo Instant Transfer. If the Instant Transfer button is grayed out, that means your bank doesn't participate in Venmo Instant Transfer.

Instant deposits can be declined if the card is or becomes unable to receive the funds for reasons including card expiry, a card being reported as lost or stolen, or change in card eligibility.
