Special Fares - GTA 5 Guide - IGN (2024)

After purchasing the Downtown Cab Company, Franklin will receive phone calls from Raul the manager asking for your help with Special Fares. Raul will offer only one Special Fare per in-game calender week (00:00 AM Monday to 11:59 PM Sunday, the Minotaur Financial reporting period). There are a total of 9 different Special Fare side missions. Special Fares do NOT require the use of a Downtown cab, so Franklin can use almost any 2-door car for these Fares, except for one particular Fare involving the pickup of 3 slacker financial employees at the Richman Hotel, where a 4-door vehicle is required.

Special fares always have specific requests that you need to meet before you drop them at their destination. Complete their requests and you'll receive a bonus and a larger cash tip!

All of the Special Fare side missions are generated randomly each week and are repeatable. Even in cases where a Fare has been previously failed or a Fare-specific NPC has been killed, the mission will be available again in the future.

SPECIAL FARE: THE SCREENWRITER

This Special Fare is located at the Galileo Observatory. The fare is new in town and requests for you to "take her to the best clothing store".

The map will show three different stores: Discount Store, Ponsonby's, and Suburban. Choose the Ponsonby's location and drive her to that location. Drop her off and you'll receive a $500 bonus on top of your fare.

SPECIAL FARE: RIDE ON THE WILD SIDE

This Special Fare is located at the Zonah Medical Center. The fare is a sports enthusiast and requests for you to take him to the Vinewood sign in extreme fashion.

To keep the fare from getting bored, do crazy driving by driving in the wrong lane, crashes, flips, peel-outs, etc. For a Daredevil bonus, add a Stunt Jump into the mix. As you continue up the road to the Vinewood sign, the fare asks to go offroad, so take the hills and climb up to the sign.

Make it to the Vinewood sign in extreme fashion and the fare will pass you a nice tip.

SPECIAL FARE: MAMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT

This Special Fare is located at the college campus near Rockford Hills. The fare is a bit of a "wordy" man that requests for you to drive him to his girlfriend's location.

When you arrive at the location, the fare exits the car and then pulls you out of the car. From there, get up and take him on!

Quickly equip the Stun Gun and then shock him to the ground. Once he's down, kick him several times to knock him out. After getting beaten up, the fare drops $200, so pick it up! Speak with the young woman and she'll request for you to take her to her friend's condo.

Drive the young woman to her requested location and she will pass you her phone number and she will become a Contact as "Liz". And for your efforts, she gives $450 (plus the $200 dropped cash). SWEET!

Oddly, this Fare will repeat, and if you've done it before, Liz and her jealous (and resurrected) boyfriend will behave as if they've just met you for the first time. The only time you get Liz's contact number is during the first play-through, though.

SPECIAL FARE: ROB'S LIQUOR STORE

This Special Fare is located at the Up N Atom burger joint in Vinewood. He requests that you drive him to Rob's Liqur Store in Vespucci Beach. Slowly!

The passenger is clearly inebriated so drive slowly to the destination to avoid him puking out of the window. Park the car in front of the liquor store in a leisurely manner and you should get the "No Puke" bonus in addition to the cab fare. MONEY!

SPECIAL FARE: THE LOST / THE CONCERNED UNCLE

This Special Fare is located near the Ammu-Nation in Pillbox Hill. The fare is a concerned uncle heading to the docks at the Port of Los Santos to confront The Lostabout his niece. When nearly there, the passenger will give Franklin a weapon and request his support if things go down.

Take cover behind your car while the passenger talks to The Lost. Once they pull their guns, take aim and gundown The Lost holding the passenger at gunpoint. Then prepare for two cars to come racing up from the same direction. A well placed rocket will send the whole thing up in smoke and give Franklin a $200 Terminator Bonus.

The passenger must survive to complete the fare.

The two cars carrying Lost reinforcements that arrive during this mission will always be Emperors, and each one has a unique license plate. One is tagged "NIKOB" and the other is "ROMANB". You are free to take either one when leaving the area, and these cars can be saved and kept in Franklin's 4-car garage.

These cars will have their trunk lids stuck open, but the trunks will be closed after the cars enter the storage garage.

SPECIAL FARE:3 BUSINESS MEN
This fare is located at theRICHMAN HOTELinRICHMAN (next to the golf course). Here, you will pick up 3 men dressed up and they will request you to make 3 stops. Shortly after the pickup, you will learn that they are just some college grads wanting to smoke some weed on the way back to work from the hotel. 1st stop will be at theMAZE BANK offALTA ST inDOWNTOWN.Stop at the yellow waypoint, and one of the business men will get out. With 2 remaining in the car, the 2nd stop they ask will be at theFLEECA BANK offHAWICK AVE inVINEWOOD.Stop at the yellow waypoint and let the 2nd man out. Now with the one man left, he will have the munchies after all that weed they smoked, and will ask you to stop at the24/7 STORE offINNOCENCE BLVD inSOUTH LOS SANTOS. Drive there to drop off the 3rd man, and the fare will then be complete. Reward could be $500+.
