Strawberry Margarita
I hear it’s National Margarita Day and what better way to celebrate than with a fresh Strawberry Margarita!
How to Make a Strawberry Margarita:
Add sliced strawberries, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice and simple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth. Run a lime slice around the rim of the glass and dip in coarse salt. Add a bit of lime zest to your salt for a little extra zing. Fill glasses with ice and then add the blended strawberry margarita. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a slice of lime.
How to make a Frozen Strawberry Margarita:
Use frozen strawberries that are slightly thawed or add ice to the blender with the strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup. If you use sweetened frozen strawberries, you can skip the simple syrup.
How to Make Simple Syrup:
Simple syrup is equal parts sugar and water. Heat water almost to boiling and stir in sugar. Allow mixture to cool before using for drinks. Store in a mason jar for up to 3 weeks.
What’s the Difference between a Strawberry Margarita and a Strawberry Daiquiri?
Both co*cktails are made with strawberries and lime and are blended. Margaritas are made with tequila and daiquiris are made with rum. Both are delicious!
How to Make a Large Batch of Margaritas:
Sometimes you need a big batch of Margaritas to serve a crowd. No one likes to play bartender for the entire party. This recipe serves two just double as needed. Just blend strawberries, lime juice and simple syrup together and then stir in tequila and triple sec when you stir it into the pitcher.
