Super Sonic is a Super Character in Sonic Speed Simulator, and offers several advantages that base skins do not have. This is also the first super variation of Sonic The Hedgehog.

Origins 
Super Sonic originates back to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992), where if you collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds by beating the special stages in the game, you can jump into the air with 50 rings and transform into Super Sonic (as Sonic only). In this golden form, you go faster and have the effects of the Invincibility power-up. However, the player's Ring count will reduce by 1 every second. Once it reaches 0, Sonic will revert back to his normal form. The player will need another 50 Rings to transform again if this happens.
Appearance
Instead of blue fur and green eyes like base Sonic, Super Sonic has yellow fur and red eyes. Super Sonic's expression is far more serious then base Sonic, his spines are also raised and seem sharpened.
Obtaining Method
Super Sonic was unlocked in a unique way, needing two seperate events completed to unlock him. Players had to charge the Chaos Emeralds with Silver The Hedgehog in Super Sonic: Silver's Quest and then harness their power with even the help of Dr. Eggman in Super Sonic: Powering Up event to unlock Super Sonic.
Trivia
- Super Sonic is the first variation to use the "Super" rarity.
- Super Sonic has several buffs and advantages, such as: Higher Boost speed, the ability to fly by boosting in the air, partial invincibility and a higher Spindash power.
- Super Sonic's Idle animation might be a reference to Sonic Frontiers when the Giganto boss fight is about to start.
- Super Sonic is the first character that is not available to trade.
- As of the version 2.61 update, he and Neo Metal Sonic also have the highest character mastery stats in the game, maxing out at a whopping +30
