Hello
A post by Microsoft in Feb 23 (7 months ago), stated that Microsoft "remains committed to Visual Basic and continue to invest in maintaining C# interop and Visual Studio features for folks that love Visual Basic." It has been interpreted by the community that VB.Net will not be further evolved but at the time of writing at least, will continue to be supported as per this article.
My question is does anyone know to date if Microsoft plans to discontinue "support" of VB.Net in the future. Not so much enhancements, but security patches etc.
Thanks
VB
An object-oriented programming language developed by Microsoft that is implemented on the .NET Framework. Previously known as Visual Basic .NET.

2023-09-19T02:36:26.9233333+00:00 Hi @Drew Salem ,
Annotated Visual Basic language strategy
The core libraries of .NET (such as the BCL) will support VB and many of the improvements to the .NET Runtime and libraries will automatically benefit VB.
This means that when it comes to security, VB.NET always keep it consistent with the .NET runtime updates.
Best Regards.
