Collecting Maze Coins
When playing Dragon City during the Maze event period, you will be able to collect 2000 Maze Coins every 24 hours. This is done by collecting gold, collecting food, feeding your dragons and breeding dragons. You will see a maze icon pop out after every action. Those coins will stop appearing once you've collected your 2000 Maze Coins. To get more coins for the Maze island you will have to wait for the next collection window.
Dragon Paths
You can use this guide to plan which dragons you want to collect! Each dragon has its own path to follow before you unlock it Clicking on any dragon will show you two things, how many keys you need to collect before you unlock the dragons path and what the details of that dragons path are. Be careful that battles are sometimes the last step of a dragons path - and take time to complete. If you choose to fight, then you can subtract the Maze coins from that dragons overall maze path cost.
Delayed Dragons
Be wary that some dragons get activated later in the event. if you spend too many maze coins early, these dragons could surprise you In this guide we detail ALL dragons upcoming, so you can plan. Just know that some of them may not be visible at the start of the event
How to spend coins
The best strategy is wait until you have enough coins for the Dragons you want and factor in the amount of time battles will take then start unlocking the dragons you want
Also note that other events happening at the same time, may require some of these dragons for participating - like Temporary Quests, Dragon Rescue events etc.
Maze Islands are live events that appear in the middle of your City. Tap it to enter. Use Maze Coins to guide the dragons to the end of their path in order to obtain them while earning rewards along the way. Some paths will require more Maze Coins than others, and some paths will only be active for a limited time.
When playing Dragon City during the Maze event period, you will be able to collect 600 Maze Coins every 8 hours. This is done by collecting gold, collecting food, feeding your dragons and breeding dragons. You will see a maze icon pop out after every action.
Often during the larger maze events, a happy hour will be in effect, reducing the maze coin cost for each move in the maze. During smaller 2 day mazes, there is a 20% discount during the first 12 hours, followed by a 10% discount for 24 hours.
To purchase a new Island, you need to unlock all expansions on your current Island. Tap on a 'FOR SALE' sign in one of the expansion areas and use Gold or Gems to obtain this expansion area.
It's in the East part of the Hollow Marshes, North-East of Amadia's Sanctuary. The entrance is along the North side of the giant compound. The gimmick of the maze is that you must solve simple puzzles to obtain skulls, which open doors. However, you can cheat the maze by simply having two characters with Teleportation.
Every dragon in Dragon City is assigned a rarity. Some are rarer or more powerful than others. Heroic dragons are the rarest and most powerful dragons.
Maze coins earned during one event will not carry over into another maze event. Players have a "pool" of maximum maze coins they can collect for each action in the game. The pool refills over time reaching a maximum after 4 hours.
To unlock Digimon Maze Entrance, you need Tamer level 55 on gDMO or Tamer level 60 on kDMO. You will then get the quest on your digivice from Richard Sampson, in which you are sent to Starmon in the Dark Tower Wasteland.
The entrance to Thais Dragon Lair is situated north from Thais on third level under ground (here). Although the route is a little bit complicated you probably won't encounter any creatures apart from Trolls and Rotworms.
