Cradle to Cradle Certified®️ Gold
Every year, approximately 92 million tons of textile waste are generated worldwide (source: Global Fashion Agenda & the Boston Consulting Group 2019). To counteract the global textile waste and to fulfill our responsibility towards the environment, we develop the threads of our Lifecycle line based on the principle of a consistent, continuous recycling management, also known as Cradle to Cradle®. Cradle to Cradle Certified® products are awarded certification based upon their performance across five critical areas of sustainability: Material Health, Product Circularity, Clean Air & Climate Protection, Water & Soil Stewardship, and Social Fairness. Cradle to Cradle Certified® products are either returned to biological cycles as biological nutrients or continuously kept in technical cycles as technical nutrients, consequently no waste is produced! Therefore, AMANN Lifecycle sewing and embroidery threads can either be 100% composted or 100% reprocessed. This resource-saving process has a huge positive impact on the environment, without affecting the product quality. All Lifecycle products are Cradle to Cradle Certified®️ Gold.
