Is DIS hard to get into? ›

Admission is competitive. Apply as early as possible - DIS often reaches capacity before published deadlines.

Taxi Safety: Only use officially marked taxis. Note that ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft do not operate in Denmark.

Most taxi drivers speak English and all will give you a receipt at the end of your ride. Drivers are required to display their licence number and rate cards. Payment can be made with cash or with credit card.

The best way to get around Copenhagen is on foot and by bike, especially when the weather is cooperating. If you're tired (or cold), you'll find a modern public transportation system that features metro lines, extensive bus routes and an easy-to-navigate train network.

Enrollment is competitive and requires an additional application during registration with DIS. Some prerequisites may apply.

Taxi. Just outside both Terminal 1 and 3 you'll find taxies. It will take around 20-30 minutes to get to the city center by taxi, and cost around 250-350 DKK, depending on the traffic.

In Copenhagen, tipping is not a tradition. If you receive extraordinary good service, you are welcome to reward it with a tip, but it is not expected. Service is normally included in the bill at restaurants, hotels and taxis. Thus it is optional whether to round up the bill or not.
