From June to the end of July, the whole of Provence glows with the purple hues of its lavender fields. Between the Lubéron, Vercors, and Verdon regions, numerous roads cross areas of immense fields stretching as far as the eye can see, offering a unique spectacle. Between sun-drenched plateaus, charming villages, and many shops and markets where locally made lavender soaps, oils, and other products are sold, there are countless reasons to follow one of the 13 Lavender Routes, each leading to a different, but always captivating, corner of southern France, from the Gorges du Verdon to the foothills of the Alps.
