Falling behind in reading by the end of third grade can result in ongoing academic challenges, as many subjects rely on written texts. Proficient readers can comprehend complex information, analyze ideas, think critically, and thrive academically.
Reading is not just a skill; it opens the doors to lifelong learning. Proficient readers can explore diverse topics, access information independently, and cultivate a genuine love for reading. They become curious and engaged learners, well-prepared for higher education and the workforce. By nurturing grade level reading skills, we empower children to become adaptable lifelong learners.

The Read United program has achieved remarkable success. Our data reveals that an impressive 76% of students in the program increased their reading scores by 50% or more. This significant improvement demonstrates the effectiveness of the program's one-on-one tutoring and mentoring approach, as well as the dedication of our volunteers and staff.
