Of course, the core of this game is forging incredible gear and tackling bosses one at a time. Depending on players' gear and preparedness, many bosses can be a walk in the park. However, some bosses are deadly, no matter how ready players are. This list has been updated to include more bosses in the ranking and to get this list up to current CBR formatting standards.

15 King Slime Is More Cute Than Scary

King Slime is honestly, quite easy. New players might be surprised when he makes his appearance, as he spawns after 150 slimes are killed while it's raining slime. King Slime spawning is more of a fun surprise than anything truly wicked. Exactly as he sounds, King Slime is just a glorified giant slime. He can teleport and jump around with his highly gelatinous body. Nothing extraordinary.

King Slime calls in plenty of slime backup during his fight, but aside from being a little annoying, the slime are as easy to deal with as usual. He's pretty easy to dodge and many longtime Terraria players consider him to be the weakest boss. He's so not scary, that King Slime feels more like a mini-boss instead of some grand battle players have to prepare for.

14 The Destroyer Isn't as Intimidating as It Looks

In the world of Terraria, facing off against The Destroyer is no easy feat. It's essentially a bullet hell-style fight. This massive mechanical serpent is considered one of the toughest bosses in the game. It's made up of many segments and has a ton of health, especially in expert or master mode. To tackle this challenge, players will want weapons that can deal damage to multiple parts of its body.

This mechanical monstrosity can deal a serious blow if it is caught head-on. However, there are ways to make the battle easier in Terraria. Weapons like the Daedalus Stormbow or the Meteorite staff can make quick work of The Destroyer, thanks to its enormous size and how these weapons' shots function.

13 The Queen Slime Is Harder Than Her King Counterpart

Queen Slime is the hard-mode variant of King Slime. Instead of killing a certain number of slime to summon this boss, players will need to use a Gelatin Crystal while in a Hallowed biome. Players can get Gelatin Crystals by farming up blocks of Pearlstone or Pink Ice, which are also found in the Hallow area. After breaking the blocks, this item has a chance to drop.

Similar to the King Slime, the Queen Slime will teleport to players once they get too far away from her. She can summon plenty of little slimes, and if players want to quickly clear them, moving far enough will do so. While the Queen Slime is the hardest boss around, players should make sure not to stay in one place for too long.

12 Golem Lies At the End of the Jungle Temple

Golem is a relatively straightforward fight, but there are a few reasons why the Golem is particularly hard — or, namely, one specific reason that is annoying in multiple ways: traps. After defeating Plantera, players can get the Jungle Temple key, and the Golem waits in the final chamber. The Jungle Temple is booby-trapped beyond belief. Spike balls from the ceiling. Spikes in tight corridors. Getting to the Golem alone is rather taxing because of the traps.

Then, once in the final chamber, players can summon the Golem at the Lihzahrd Altar with a Lihzahrd Power Cell that has a chance to drop from the enemies in the Temple. However, this chamber is also booby-trapped. The bulky Golem itself will leap around the tight chamber, sending out different fists that are attached to it.

11 The Queen Bee Rallies Her Colony

Bees are so beloved in this game that there's even a special seed for a bee-filled world. The Queen Bee herself can be found underground in the Jungle biome. In classic Terraria boss summoning action, players will need to destroy larvae around the bee hives to activate this boss. Visually, this boss is a fun fight because of the hive environment as there's plenty of honey and honeycombs.

Queen Bee, naturally, will summon the help of her other bees during this fight. Players should take out the minions as much as they can and wail on the Queen Bee however they please. Queen Bee isn't terribly difficult. She has a lot of charge attacks that players can dodge, but players should be careful of her stinger attacks. Her stinger can inflict poison, which will rapidly eat away at any unsuspecting player's health.

10 Wall of Flesh Requires a Lot of Prep Work

In Terraria, the Wall of Flesh is the big boss gamers face just before Hardmode kicks in, making it a significant showdown. To take it down, gamers will want to focus on its eyes and mouth. Fighting the Wall of Flesh takes players down the lava-filled pits of hell. This boss will automatically summon when a Voodoo Doll of the Guide drops into the lava. Best case, players will be the ones to decide when to drop the doll into the lava. Worst case, players will accidentally kill an imp above the lava who will drop one of those dolls upon death.

The Wall of Flesh can be either a pushover or a real nightmare in Terraria, depending on whether gamers build a bridge. Building a bridge makes the fight much easier because it lets gamers move smoothly through the fiery Underworld without falling into lava. Plus, while on the bridge, gamers can turn and shoot the Wall of Flesh to chip away at its health. The Wall of Flesh is difficult for new players, but an easy foe for later players, which is why it lands in the tenth spot.

9 The Twins Have Two Different Attacks to Manage
