The Ram 1500 TRX was introduced in 2021 as the most powerful and fastest truck on the road. With the engine from the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models underneath its hood, the TRX provides ground-shaking performance. Since its introduction, the Ram TRX has been available in a few different special editions, including Sandblast Edition, Ignition Edition, and now, the Havoc Edition. The Havoc Edition builds upon the TRX's already impressive Level 2 Equipment Group with a new body color and even more personalization directly from Ram's factory. Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition Exterior Features
Straight out of the factory, the TRX Havoc Edition brings consumers an eclectic mix of features, performance, exterior features, colors and performance to provide a one-of-a-kind truck. The exterior of the Havoc Edition is painted in Ram's new Baja Yellow exterior paint color, exclusive for the special edition. It also has exclusive Havoc Edition graphics over the rear wheel flares. The bright yellow paint stands out against the all-black 18-inch bead lock-capable alloy wheels and black fender flares. The wheels are covered by aggressive 35-inch all-terrain tires. The five-foot-seven-inch truck bed comes with a spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, a cab-mounted LED brake light, and a bed step. These features are on top of what's included in the Level 2 Equipment Group, which includes remote tailgate release, remote proximity keyless entry, a surround-view camera system, body-color door handles, rain-sensing wipers, and more.
Interior Features of the Ram TRX Havoc Edition
The 2023 Ram TRX Havoc Edition brings a wide range of new features on top of the Level 2 Equipment Group. The seats are wrapped in black leather with Prowler Yellow TRX badges on the front seat backrests and Prowler Yellow accent stitching. The Havoc Edition comes standard with carbon fiber accents strategically placed around the cabin, including on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. While all TRX models come with an identification badge on the center console, the Havoc Edition's badge is unique because of its yellow font color. These features are on top of the Level 2 Equipment Group's 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, heated/cooled front and rear seats, driver seat memory settings, digital rearview mirror, head-up display, wireless charging pad, nineteen-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and other top-spec luxury features.
Ram 1500 TRX Performance and Capability
As was previously mentioned, the Ram 1500 TRX comes with Dodge's Hellcat engine. This is a 6.2-liter V8 with a twin-screw supercharger on the top. The supercharger provides belt-powered forced air induction to provide mind-boggling power compared to a naturally-aspirated engine. With its supercharged V8 engine, the TRX delivers 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Using the launch assist and launch control features, the TRX achieves a 4.5-second 0-60 time and a top speed of 118 miles per hour. The supercharger is capable of providing 11 pounds per square inch of boost and a maximum speed of 14,600 RPM. The massive airbox, fed by a flow-through grille, can filter 32.9 liters of air per minute, providing clean, cold air to the engine. While its on-road performance is exciting, it is meticulously designed to tackle Earth's toughest terrain. It features beefy 35-inch all-terrain tires and 11.8 inches of ground clearance. Phenomenal ground clearance and shock absorption is provided by custom-built Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shocks. These offer the TRX 14 inches of suspension travel in the rear and 13 inches of suspension travel in the front. Additionally, they automatically adapt to steering, braking, throttle position, speed, and torque to provide excellent body control at any speed and on any surface. All four shocks are powered by a pressurized charge of nitrogen gas provided by a remote reservoir. The remote location of the reservoir gives the shocks additional space for suspension travel. Lastly, the shocks have a secondary piston to prevent bottoming out. As the shocks near full compression, the secondary piston will engage to stop suspension travel before the bottom of the truck reaches the ground.
