Good Manager
Set Cear Expectations: Good bosses set clear expectations for their employees so everyone knows what they expect from them. This helpsavoid confusion and conflict.
Give Constructive Feedback: Good bosses give their employees positive and negative feedback on a regular basis. This allows employees to identify areas for improvement andfeel valued in their work.
They are Supportive: Good leaders support their employees and offerhelp and encouragement when needed. These create a positive work environment where employees are comfortable taking risks and trying new things.
Bad Manager
They are Micromanagers: Bad managers micromanage their employees, which can hinder creativity and productivity. They can also be overly critical and demanding, which can lead to employee burnout.
Unresponsive: Poor leaders are unresponsive and make it difficult for employees to reach out with questions or concerns. This can lead tolack of communication and trust.
Lack of Transparency: Poor managers may not be transparent with their employees, withholding information or making decisions without consulting them. This can cause frustration and distrust among employees.
Of course, there are many other traits that make managers good or bad. Most importantly, leaders can create a positive work environment in which employees feel valued and supported. When this happens, your team will be more productive and more likely to succeed.
