Top Reseller Apps For Making Money on Poshmark (& Elsewhere) (2024)

We have been taking thePoshmarkapp by storm for the past month and a half or so now. We have made over 100 sales thus far and are feeling good about learning the ropes of reselling.

Because Poshmark is an app-based selling platform, and I spend a lot of time on the road these days, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite reseller apps. The good news is these apps aren’t just good for clothing resellers, they can help you out regardless of your chosen niche or platform.

Yard Sale Treasure Map

I use this app a lot! Pull up the app and get a map view of all the garage sales in the area – wherever you are at. The listings come from Craigslist and it pulls in the full listing. That means you can see any photos included with the announcement – something I always appreciate!

With Yard Sale Treasure Map you can:

• Search by day, location, distance, and keyword
• Organize by color or by creating a sale route
• See Street View of the sale site before you visit
• Save time and gas by optimizing your sale route order
• Sync your sale route across all of your mobile devices
• Share your sale route with your friends
• Get directions to each sale as you drive

With the free version, you can only view today’s sales and Saturday. The premium version allows for more functionality.

Sellhound

So you found something that looks interesting, but you aren’t sure about the profit potential. Rather than trying to look up comps on several sites or just navigate your main selling platform while juggling an armful of goods, I use Sellhound.

What I love about Sellhound is that it will show you the average active listing and sold price for a number of selling platforms like Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, Etsy and more. This has been such a lifesaver. It’s not only available as an app but also on desktop.

The price comparison tool is available for free. They do have a listing service available for a fee though I haven’t tried it.

Airtable

I’m a big fan of Airtable spreadsheets. They offer additional functionality that isn’t available on Google Sheets. It’s the reason I use it for tracking my Poshmark inventory and sales.

Airtable also has an app that allows you to view and edit your spreadsheets, or Bases, anytime and anywhere. This comes in handy when on the road and an offer comes in on an item and you can’t quite remember how much you paid for it or how much you need to sell it for to turn a profit. Open the Airtable app and you will know whether to Accept, Counter or Decline.

QuickBooks Self-Employed

You can put on a lot of miles sourcing for resale items, picking up supplies and dropping off packages. And, if you are in the business of reselling, you may be able to write those miles off when filing your taxes.

I started off with paper and pen trying to transfer everything to a spreadsheet. Needless to say, it didn’t take very long for that to fall way behind. That brought me to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I have long been a QuickBooks user, but their traditional online version doesn’t include mileage tracking at this time. Luckily, their new Self-Employed version does.

What I love about QuickBooks Self-Employed is the streamlined and simplified app. You can do everything from tracking expenses to sending invoices right from your smartphone. It can also track your mileage automatically.

You can set up frequent destinations to automatically be categorized as business or personal. Other trips you can review in the app and mark accordingly.

I love that I can track expenses on the go. This has been so helpful as I buy a lot of things from garage sales and don’t always get them listed or inventoried right away. You don’t want to forget what you paid for stuff.

Now, as soon as I get to my car, I can log that expense on my phone. You can also take photos of your receipts and link up your business bank accounts to save even more time and headaches.

Keep

Keep is a free app from Google that allows you to make lists and take notes on your phone. Share those lists with your friends or family members. Set time-based or location-based reminders. You can even take audio notes.

I like using Keep as opposed to some of the other list-making apps out there because I don’t have to sign up for yet another service. I’m all about streamlining these days.

Size.ly

If you are reselling clothing online, buyers are going to want measurements. If you aren’t quite sure how to measure inseam and rise, or maybe you just want a simplified template to follow each time, check out Size.ly. From jeans to jewelry, they have sizing templates and directions available.

This service is currently used by over 35,000 sellers on various platforms. In just a few seconds you can create a size chart to show customers exactly how that garment measures. Hopefully, this will help you make more sales and get less returns.

Poshmark

Iresell clothes online. This posts wouldn’t be complete with the Poshmark app.

While some platforms, like eBay, lose some functionality in the app, Poshmark is exactly the opposite. It was designed with selling from your smartphone in mind. You never need to get on the desktop version if you don’t want to. In fact, the desktop version doesn’t have all the buzz and whistles for resellers in my opinion.

If you are new to Poshmark, download the app and use invite code THEWAHWIFE. We will both get a little shopping credit if you do.

You won’t find a photo editing app on my list. In my own opinion, it’s best to keep your photos raw and unfiltered. Do too many touch-ups and you risk misrepresenting the product you are trying to sell. Why risk a return?

Play around with light and different backgrounds until you find the perfect spot.
