- Enter the Hornwright Estate safe room
- Get an access keycard for the safe room gate
- (Optional) Look for clues to the passcode
- Note: There is another one in the basem*nt of the Hornwright Summer Villa if run into an issue getting it in the normal location.
- Use the access keycard printer
- Get past the safe room gate
- Meet the safe room occupants
- Talk to Penelope
- Collect the Pip-Boy construction kit
- Obtain the schematic
- Return to Penelope
- Talk to Penelope
- Find an Eyebot sensor Module
- Find a Robobrain interpolator
- Bring the parts to Penelope
- Return to Paige

Search Hornwright Industrial HQ
Use the Motherlode control Terminal
- You need to listen to the entire broadcast before the next objective appears.
Go to the Hornwright Estate
- Be aware the security forces outside this estate. Come prepared to fight.
Enter the Hornwright Estate safe room.
- Swipe the ID Card reader at the door.
- You will not have the correct ID card to get into the Safe room.
Get an access keycard for the safe room gate
- Can be found on the CEO's desk on the top floor executive level of the Hornwright Industrial headquarters or on a cartin the basem*nt of the Hornwright summer villa.
- Take the elevator to the Top Floor of the Hornwright Estate
- Once you get out of the elevator, go down one floor to an office and access Penny Hornwright's Terminal.
- (Optional) Look for clues to the passcode-You can read all of the outgoing mail to get an idea for what the passcode might be and also scan the room for any hints.
If you have a high enough "Luck" level, you can "Guess the passcode"
Use the access keycard printer
Get past the safe room gate
- Go back to the elevator tothe safe room floor
- Swipe your newly acquired card in the door lock to bypass the security gate.
Meet the safe room occupants
You will need to go to Penelope Hornwright and wait for her to have a conversation between Motherlode and herself.
Talk to Penelope
Collect the Pip-Boy construction kit
- Head to Vault-Tec University and once inside, go downstairs and use the "Simulation Vault Entrance" terminal to open the security door with the [Security Door Control] option
- Follow the quest markers and be cautious of Campus Security robots.
- Grab the Pip-Boy2000 MK VI Kit from the table and fast travel out (if able) to the next location in Summersville.
Obtain the schematic
- Go inside the house indicated by the quest marker and down the stairs. Grab the Experimental Pip-Boy Schematic from the wall.
Return to Penelope
- Interact with Penelope once you've returned. Wait for her dialogue to complete for this objective to be complete.
Talk to Penelope
- At this point, you can use your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats to speed this along, but if not, you will need to go find an Eyebot and a Robobrain
Find an Eyebot sensor Module
(Optional) Check the Eyebot upstairs in the estate
Find a Robobrain interpolator
Bring the parts to Penelope
Return to Paige
- Navigate back to Foundation to find Paige. Go through the conversation prompts and your quest will end and start "Invisible Ties"

The keycard is located (read can spawn) in 2 locations. The first is on the desk in the Hornwright building, executive office (you get executive access during “Minor Miracles” iirc). The second is in the basem*nt of the Hornwright manor.

The safe room is at the Hornwright Estate, but while the elevator goes all the way down to it, entry is barred by a laser grid. The player character needs to head all the way to the top of the Mega-Mansion and use Penelope Hornwright's computer in her chamber at the western end of the mansion to print a keycard.
