The Flanagan Family has been to all 50 states. And they have been to all fifty states. And they have been to all 50 states. They have visited all 50 states a remarkable 3 times! Their last trip was a mission to complete all 50 in the shortest amount of time possible. They did it in 8 days and 20 minutes. Another amazing traveler, Barry Stiefel visited all 50 states in a "week's vacation." His trip was round trip.
Now, some other 50-staters have taken a longer time to complete their journey - around one year.
The Martin Family also took a year long trip renting an RV traveling the states. This is roughly their trip.
If you are trying to visit all the main tourist locations in the United States, there is definitely no clear route to do it. In the year long trips the routes zig-zagged - through some states multiple times to see sites in different parts of the states.
