How do I unlink my boa account? ›

You can view all Bank of America accounts that are linked to a single ID. Please call 1.866. 758.5972 for assistance with removing an account from online banking.

You'll need to close all open positions.

If you hold any stocks or cryptocurrencies, you'll need to sell them before closing your account. If you don't want to sell your positions but no longer want to use Robinhood, you can transfer your positions to another brokerage, or your crypto to another blockchain.

Once a person has agreed to become a joint owner or signer on a checking, savings, or credit card, they can't be removed from the account. If you want an account in your name only, you'll need to close the account and apply for a new one. We do make exceptions if the person in question is deceased.

On the app, you can choose the Deactivate Account option, and it will prompt you to sell all of your trading positions and transfer your account balance to your bank account.

Closing a bank account typically won't hurt your credit. Your credit score is based on how you manage borrowed money, and your checking or savings accounts aren't debts. So bank account closures aren't reported to the three major credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.

We work with partner banks to process transactions. ACH account and routing numbers may be issued by Sutton Bank or JPMorgan Chase Bank, and the Robinhood debit card is issued by Sutton Bank.

You may not be able to withdraw money while your account is restricted. Robinhood sometimes restricts users' accounts. That can happen if the user has a negative balance, had a bank account transaction reversed, if the user is suspected of fraud, or for a few other reasons.

If you have Robinhood Gold and do not have enough funds in your account to cover the monthly fee, you will end up owing money to Robinhood.

You can link a bank account to your app and fund your account by transferring funds from your bank account. These funds appear as Pending in your History until the funds clear in up to five business days.
