Overview[]

The Uzi's main features are its large ammo reserve and above-average accuracy. In exchange, however, it has fairly average stability. It is also the very last automatic sidearm unlocked (at level 55), and is a fairly expensive investment for newer players. Whilst it has fairly strong recoil, this can be compensated for with modifications and skills, and the weapon's relatively low rate of fire helps keep the recoil from becoming uncontrollable.

As its stats can reach the point of competition with some primaries, it can be a very viable secondary option for higher difficulties in the hands of players who are good at ammo management, or for saw-using Enforcers who must have a dependable secondary weapon for combat - notable, as the Uzi is not as constrained by range in the same way the Locomotive is.

The Uzi is also one of the most expensive and lucrative-to-sell weapons in the game, tied with the Thanatos, Gewehr 3, GL40, and Patchett L2A1.

Aim for headshots to maintain ammo efficiency.
Due to the high ammo pickup rate, it is recommended that one always try to pickup enemy ammo drops, thus making back most of the ammo that they lose.

The Uzi is one of a few machine pistols that can reach (94) damage with (60) accuracy and max (96) stability with mods alone. This build is useful if you need a capable secondary to compliment a specialized primary weapon.

Trivia	Silent Death The real-life Uzi barrel was threaded to take aftermarket suppressors, but IMI never provided an official option. This one looks exactly like the famous bulged suppressor of the MAC-10, another iconic 80's gun, chopped up and adapted to fit the Uzi dimensions. Its appearance as a unique silencer might be a reference to Hotline Miami's Richter, who uses a silenced Uzi as his signature weapon.

Trivia	Rami Suppressor Rami Suppressor is named after Sam Raimi for directing the Evil Dead (later Army of Darkness) movies. The Rami Suppressor is based on KAC Knight's Armament Company M4/M16 Taupe QDSS-NT4 Sound Suppressor KM96062-2/, with either Black or Taupe color. Trivia	Dourif Muzzle Dourif Muzzle is named after the actor Brad Dourif who voices Chucky of Child's Play horror movie franchise. The Dourif Muzzle is based on KAC Knight's Armament Co. 7.62mm MAMS (Malti-Axis Muzzle Stability) Muzzle Brake 5/8-24 Thread. Trivia	LED Combo The LED Combo is based on the Leapers, Inc. UTG LED Weapon light and Laser. Although the main flashlight has a toggle switch, the laser sight component of the LED Combo is pressure-activated, meaning the laser will stay on as long as the pressure switch is depressed. This switch is not placed where it should be, however (on foregrips, magazine wells, etc...) and is instead ziptied to the main taclight, leaving no plausible mean for the user to toggle it without awkwardly moving their off hand off the weapon and gripping the attachment itself.

Trivia	Military Red Dot Sight Upon release, the default reticle of this sight was a chevron instead of the retail version's red dot. After the release of the Gage Mod Courier DLC, it was reverted to the regular sight's red dot. It is functionally the same as the standard Military Red Dot Sight, but the sight's casing is tan instead of black with the line "A-10" scrawled on near the adjustment knob. The sticker on the lens cap's interior also says "I <3 Payday" instead of having a picture of an American flag. This sight was based on the Aimpoint CompM2 optic. While it is portrayed as a high-zoom scope in-game, the CompM2 is actually a reflex sight, meaning it offers no magnification in reality.

Miami Spice refers to the annual restaurant promotion celebrating Miami cuisine.

Trivia[]

The Uzi is based upon the IMI Uzi with an integrated front vertical grip. On the real firearm, this grip replaces the two halves of the standard grip panels and has similar contours to the weapon's pistol grip. It is referred to as the K-Grip.
This particular type of Uzi bears resemblance to to some of the custom modified variants that have been created by professional gunsmiths which often include; custom solid butt stocks, added on accessory rails, elevated optics rail that doesn't interfere with operation of the charging handle and a higher rate of fire (base models have a ROF of 600 rounds per minute).
The Uzi featured in Hotline Miami is actually a Micro Uzi, not the full-sized version. While there is a Micro Uzi in PAYDAY 2, it was not included in any Hotline Miami-themed bundle.
It is one of the few weapons in-game to use its real name, alongside the R93, the M60, the M1014, the AK5, the RPK, The Judge, Peacemaker .45, the Gewehr 3, and technically, the UAR and Swedish K.
The Uzi's magazine is modeled after a 32 round magazine but holds 40 rounds.
