Turn Dark theme on or off in your phone's settings
Important: When you turn on Dark theme for your phone, many apps also use Dark theme. On your phone, open the Settings app. Tap Display. Turn Dark theme on or off.
The toggle, which isn't visible by default, is called "make all apps dark." Like the name implies, it applies a dark theme whether an app supports it or not. Android 10 introduced an "override force-dark" option, but it doesn't work in all apps.
It checks each part of your app that's usually bright and changes it to a dark look before it shows up on your screen. It allows users to enjoy their favourite Android apps in Dark Mode, even if the developers of those apps haven't officially incorporated this feature.
Dark mode blends your screen with your dark environment, thereby reducing that glare and white contrast, so you are not as blinded when looking at your screen in a dark mode. This makes it easier to comfortably chat and connect with people on Tinder at night and in low light conditions.
If your app shows a different colour scheme from what you expect, it could be because: You changed the theme settings for your phone. You have Battery Saver turned on for your phone. The app doesn't offer multiple colour schemes.
Within Settings->Display->More Dark Mode Options make sure you manually turn off your app within the Individual apps list. The MIUI OS tries to "force" dark mode to apps that don't have dark theme, however these settings can mess with apps that DO have a dark/light theme.
There are multiple possibilities: You have selected "Auto" rather than "Night Mode". "Auto" may look dark at first, but it actually toggles the mode automatically depending on the current time: dark at night, light by day. The mode was turned off by another app that is overwriting the Android dark mode settings.
Similar to most Windows programs, Chrome automatically turns to dark mode if you turn on the Dark Theme in Windows. However, that does not imply all the web pages' content will adopt the Theme. Thus, the option is not actually a full dark mode.
Dark mode makes it easier for your eyes to adjust from your dimly lit surroundings to your phone screen. This can reduce eye strain and minimize eye fatigue. Car navigation systems and GPS devices switch to dark mode after sunset for this reason.
