Why You’ll Love This Valentine’s Charcuterie Board
Versatile: With the variety of snacks, this Valentine’s Day board scores full points on being versatile. Feel free to add your favorite foods for a personal touch.

No Hassle Board. The best part about this fun charcuterie board is how easy it is to make. No crazy prep time, no hard-to-find ingredients.
Kitchen Tools Needed
- Heart-Shaped Board: Use a heart-shaped wooden board or a heart shaped candy box. Both are perfectly Valentine-themed. I’m using the lid of an inexpensive heart candy box like this one on Amazon. You can also find these at dollar stores a few weeks before the holiday. No mess, simply throw away after using.
- Heart Cookie Cutters: You’ll need a large, small, and mini heart-shaped cookie cutter to make the same designs on this Valentine’s Day charcuterie board. Feel free to add as many heart-shaped foods as you like – nothing’s stopping you!
- Drinking Glass: You’ll need a glass to use as the form for making the salami roses.
- Small Bowls: Use small bowls for any tiny sweet treats you add so they are easily contained.
Ingredients
Cheeses
Cheese is a classic charcuterie board staple. Pick your favorite cheeses to pair with cured meats.
- Cut each cheese into different shapes to achieve a fancy look. Cut the soft cheese like Brie and Colby Jack into heart shapes. As for the hard cheeses like cheddar and blue cheese, chop them into cubes.
- Pepper Jack, Manchego Spanish Cheese, and blueberry goat cheese will make an excellent addition to this delicious charcuterie board.
Meats
Add a variety of meats for different flavors and textures.
- Make pretty salami roses to decorate for Valentine’s Day.
- Include Genoa salami for its bright and tangy flavor and uncured sweet Sopressata for its sweetness.
- Also use uncured sweet Capocollo and Prosciutto.
Fruits
- Add fresh fruit options to your grazing board for a more flavor.
- Fresh strawberries, grapes, and raspberries are all a perfect addition. They’ll balance the savory meats and cheeses and also bring in some color.
- Castelvetrano Italian Green Olives
Crackers
- Did you find Heart-shaped crackers? Super cute!
- Grab a mix of plain and flavored crackers like rosemary and sea salt for variety.
Sweet Treats
Valentine’s Day without chocolates? Who are we kidding?
- You’ll need a few dark chocolate hearts to sprinkle about the board.
- Add a small bowl of heart-shaped jelly beans or Conversation Hearts.
- A handful of chocolate covered almonds.
- Small jar of jam to smother your crackers with before piling on the meats and cheeses.
