Background[]
The Veil of Secrets is a piece of cloth worn by the fictional hero the Mistress of Mystery, and part of her Regalia of Mystery. In the Mistress' lore, the Veil shields her face, cloaks her identity, and hones her senses. It also protects her from a range of threats, which includes gas, smoke, and fumes.[1]
The Order of Mysteries recreated the masks as part of their uniform, however, those worn by members of the Order have deteriorated into worn veils. These can be repaired by using the fabricator at their hideout under Riverside Manor.
Characteristics[]
As other masks, it prevents some infections by diseases from airborne sources. It can be worn together with any headwear that does not possess a mask feature. Wearing either the Veil of Secrets or a worn veil allows the player character to unlock the laser grid security and enter into the basem*nt hideout of Riverside Manor.

Locations[]
The worn veil can be repaired back into a Veil of Secrets by using the fabricator inside Riverside Manor's basem*nt during The Mistress of Mystery side quest. This may only be performed once.
Notes[]
- The worn veil is found on the corpses of deceased members of the Order of Mysteries. The worn veil will stop spawning on the corpses once the questline has been started.
- The Veil of Secrets is classified as an Unstoppables costume for all SCORE and challenges.
- The Veil also appears in Fallout Shelter Online as a trinket for the Mistress of Mystery. It is one of the few references to Fallout 76 in Shelter Online.
