Incense are items that lure Pokémon to your location. One activated Incense typically lasts for 60 minutes but may last longer during special events. You can also activate multiple Incense at a time to stack the duration of their effects for up to 24 hours instead of using one every 60 minutes.

Normally, activated Incense lasts for an hour and it spawns 1 Pokémon every 5 minutes if the Trainer is standing still, and 1 Pokémon every 1 minute or 200 meters (whichever happens first) while moving. Other Trainers are not affected by this item.

When using the Daily Adventure Incense, make sure you're catching Pokémon that are attracted to it to complete this task. These Pokémon appear on the Map with a blue swirl and have a small blue incense icon over the Pokémon's CP on the catch encounter screen.

If you notice your Incense are a different color than usual, it means you can use them to attract special Pokémon that wouldn't appear normally.

Given that some of the essential oils most commonly used to scent incense sticks help ease stress and increase focus, burning incense is a perfect addition to a yoga and meditation routine. Stimulate creativity. Burning incense can help boost creativity and flow state by clearing and stimulating the mind.
