What’s MMR ?
MMR is a term used to distinguish players from the least skilled to the mostskilled. MMR stands for MatchMaking Rating, which is a system of individual skill points that isintended to be hidden by Riot Games, the American company that develops the game League of Legends,who are the only ones with access to its data. Its individual skill points are used to rank playersaccording to their personal level, as it is assumed that all League of Legends players have the sameMMR when playing against each other. This is why in normal play (League of Legends games that arenot based on an official ranking), you will almost never fall to Platinum (one of the highest ranksin League of Legends) if you have just started the game at level 30 or lower; whether it issmurfing, which is a high ranked player deciding to recreate a new account, or trolling your rankedgames and always coming out victorious in your normals. It is interesting to know thatchronologically, MMR is first a system used in chess that aimed to estimate the level of a chessplayer, whose objective was to generate a level equity between players, a player with a great MMRagainst another player of the same level. The system was then democratized and adopted by othercompetitive games such as LoL to balance its games.

🧮How does the site calculate my mmr lol ?
Since its data wants to be hiddenby lol, we have settled for rough estimates with an accuracy of plus or minus(±) 95%.Therefore, when estimating your MMR, the ± symbol will appear next to your MMR score,indicating that there is a difference of about 200 points. Imagine you have a score of 1300,your actual score would probably be between 1200 and 1400. This data can vary depending onyour games and your score, the more games you win with a good score, the more your mmrincreases, and conversely, the more games you lose and finish with a very bad score, themore your mmr decreases. It is important to note that your MMR is likely to change dependingon the number of games played, the more games you play, the more accurate the MMR will be.
👨🏻💻Why is my profile not showing ?
You must check the region inwhich your account is located, because the region changes depending on the country ofresidence. For example, a user located in France will be on the EUW server, while anAmerican will be in the NA region. If you want to know the region in which your account hasbeen registered, you have to click on "setting" which is in the top right corner of thelauncher when you start lol then go to the "League of legends" tab, the region is indicatedin brackets in "Current version".
🏆How does MMR affect Ranked LP ?
In the league system, inaddition to your MMR, ranked games allow you to get or lose LP (League Points). Theleague points vary according to your MMR score and the average MMR score of your rank,let's say you win a game with an average MMR higher than your rank, you will get moreLPs than you lose. Conversely, if you are below the average MMR, you will lose more LP.Please note that the old ranking system that Riot Games used (the elo ranking) has beenremoved in Season 3.
🏃Does dodding affect my MMR ?
Dodging, which consists of leaving the game client during a champion selection will notinfluence your MMR score, however, during a ranked game, you will have a line penalty.

As we've seen before, MMR isa system as old as the game itself, and it's surely true that Riot Games has had toevolve its calculation methods over time, but why doesn't this one seem accurate? Due tothe popularity of League of Legends, some unscrupulous people use eloboost services,which allow them to level up in the league system when their playing experiencetheoretically doesn't allow them to do so, which can lead to major imbalances in gamesif the main account user replayed on their higher level account. Players who eloboostare often singled out in the game and referred to as "boosted players". They disrupt thegame experience of other players and can cause a snowball effect of toxic behavior fromtheir own allies (Keep in mind that in addition to eloboosting, flaming is alsostrongly discouraged by Riot Games, for whatever reason...). This type of game is stillrelatively rare, so we recommend taking it easy and working as a team. The other effectthat can give you this feeling is that if you have a 1400 MMR solo, and you come acrossa 4 player team with two players at 1200 and two others at 1600, you will sometimes feellike you are playing in 3V7, or even 2V8 if one of the two players in your team with ahigh MMR is not at his best.
