- Don't share your mobile phone with anyone
- Activate your SIM card using a PIN
- Enable WhatsApp two-step verification under Settings/Account/Two-Step Verification
- Lock your WhatsApp chat with Face ID or Touch ID to add an extra layer of security

Yes, as a non-customer you can subscribe for WhatsApp Banking and enjoy features like:

I am not able to register for WhatsApp Banking. What should I do?
Please ensure to use the same mobile number registered with us. If you've changed the mobile number recently, please update it via Mobile Banking App and then register for WhatsApp Banking.

Can I share personal information on an Emirates NBD chat via WhatsApp?
Emirates NBD will never ask you to share your personal information via WhatsApp. This includes your full card or account number, CVV, credit card expiry date, PIN, OTP, Mobile Banking or Online Banking ID, password, and so on.
I have deleted my Emirates NBD conversation on WhatsApp, how can I start it again?
You can just start a new conversation again. To do this, you need to have Emirates NBD’s number +971 600 540000 in your contact list.
Is WhatsApp Banking available in Arabic?
Yes, WhatsApp Banking is available in English and Arabic. You can change the preferred language from “Profile Settings” menu.
If my WhatsApp chat is transferred to the agent, can I continue using other WhatsApp Banking services at the same time?
No, we request you to be patient with us and wait till the WhatsApp Banking chat agent closes the conversation with you before initiating new services.
Can I switch on disappearing messages on WhatsApp Banking?
No, please do not turn on the disappearing message feature as WhatsApp does not support automated business interaction while this feature is on. So, please make sure that you have switched off this feature.
What if I lost my mobile, will my WhatsApp Banking be compromised?
If you lose your phone or if it falls into the wrong hands, please call +971 600 540000 and report it to us immediately.
Always lock your mobile device when not in use and activate your SIM card with a PIN in addition to enabling WhatsApp's 2-step verification. WhatsApp 2-step verification adds additional security to your account with a 6-digit PIN you create. Once this is enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp, when changing phones or swapping SIM cards, for example, can't be completed without the PIN.
