Francesca Farago and her fiancé Jesse Sullivan are gearing up to welcome their first kids!
The Too Hot to Handle star first started dating Sullivan in 2022 before getting engaged in April 2023. A year later, they announced they were expecting twins together.
Sullivan is already a dad to Arlo from a previous relationship when he was in high school. The couple have documented much of their relationship — including their IVF journey — on their respective TikToks, where they have millions of followers.
“I love how caring and thoughtful Jesse is,” Farago told PEOPLE in August 2023. “He always puts me first and makes sure my needs are met. He takes care of me."
Sullivan gushed just as hard over Farago, telling PEOPLE he “admired” certain qualities in her.
“Francesca has so many things to love,” he said. “She’s the type of person that surprises me constantly with how kind and loving she is to everyone around her.”
So who is Francesca Farago’s fiancé? Here’s everything to know about Jesse Sullivan and his relationship with the reality TV star.
Sullivan is a TikTok influencer known for advocating for LGBTQ+ rights
Before Sullivan started posting videos with fellow TikToker Farago, he had a large following of his own on the platform. Most of his content surrounds raising his child and talking about his experiences as a transgender man.
In February 2022, Sullivan announced on TikTok he was undergoing top surgery that year, and invited viewers to follow along on his journey. Sullivan also has a large following on Instagram, where he shares more bits of his transition, including his child helping him administer testosterone injections.
At the start of Pride Month in June 2022, Sullivanposted an Instagram photo of him and Arlo to mark the occasion. In the caption, he wrote about how it was more important than ever for the pair to use their platform to advocate for change.
“With all the recent anti trans legislation this pride feels extra important to us,” he wrote. “More than ever we need to come together to support our trans youth. Arlo and I have dedicated our online space to creating a safe place for everyone.”
Sullivan is a father to a teenager from a previous relationship
Sullivan became a parent when he was in high school and had his child, Arlo. In one of his most watched TikToks, Sullivan wrote “me having unprotected seggs in high school” over a video of him lip-syncing to an audio clip from Euphoria of the main character, Rue, saying, “honestly, I don’t really give a f—.” Arlo then stepped into the video and lip-synced the character Nate’s response, “Yeah, I gathered that,” under the words “my kid 13 years later.”
The content creator often shares throwback photos of him and his kid, including ones before he transitioned as he raised Arlo as a single parent. He also often advocates for Arlo to live their authentic self.
In an October 2023 TikTok in honor of National Coming Out day, Sullivan included a couple pictures of himself as a teenager with an infant Arlo, writing, “Although I loved being a parent, I wasn’t happy within myself. I wanted Arlo to see that you always fight for your light, because it’s yours and only yours, and no one can take it away ❤️.”
He and Farago met over Zoom and instantly clicked
Farago and Sullivan first connected over Zoom when she was interviewing him for a TikTok pride event. The Perfect Match star told PEOPLE that “there was an instant attraction through the screen,” and both knew it was something worth pursuing.
“We both couldn’t stop staring at each other,” she said. “After the Zoom I remember running around the house and telling my friends I found my new boyfriend.”
She continued, “I think meeting over Zoom, looks was the first thing that drew us in. But after the interview I spent hours scrolling through his entire TikTok account [and] I fell in love with who he was as a person also.”
Farago added that after their first date, they both texted their close friends telling them that they were in love and there was an “instant connection.”
They started dating shortly after Farago finished filming Perfect Match, and both debuted their relationship on Instagram while they were at Coachella in April 2022.
They got engaged in April 2023
Sullivan proposed to Farago on April 28, 2023, with a candle-lit orchestra surrounding them as he got down on one knee. The couple have since opened up about their wedding planning and how they plan to go all out.
“We were debating for a while about if we wanted to go big or not,” Farago told PEOPLE. “We decided we only do this once and to just go huge!”
As of August 2023, the two were deciding between Italy or Catalina Island, California, which is closer for both of their families.
Though the date was originally set for May 2024, Farago and Sullivan updated PEOPLE in April 2024 that they were now looking to get married after they had their children.
"We're going to do wedding after babies because we were thinking how cute would it be to have two little newborns at the wedding or like two little toddlers," Farago said. "That would be so cute to like include them."
Sullivan added that they will "probably do a courthouse wedding first while she's pregnant and then do an actual wedding a little later."
They explained that after a “really hard” time planning their wedding, they decided to start their journey together with kids.
"We were wedding planning, and then one day, wedding planning was really hard, and we were just kind of discouraged," Farago said. "And then we looked at each other, and we were like, 'Should we just do babies first?' And then we just decided there and then, and we just went right into IVF."
They documented their IVF journey
The couple were open about their experience with IVF from egg retrieval to embryo transfer on their TikTok pages, filming videos of the process and the difficulties they encountered. In August 2023, they hosted a Q&A on TikTok addressing questions people had about the experience, sharing that Sullivan had his eggs extracted first and frozen.
They added that the first pregnancy would use Farago’s embryos while the second would use Sullivan’s embryos unless they chose to have twins. The couple also chose to keep the identity of their sperm donor private until their kids were born, though they said they did know who he was.
They confirmed that for this pregnancy and any pregnancy going forward, Farago would be carrying their baby.
“I was just doing the process of getting my eggs and turning them into embryos so that we had them, from day one, she’s carrying all the babies,” he said in the video. “If we have 10 babies, they’re all going to her.”
They announced they were expecting twins in April 2024
In March 2024, Farago and Sullivan shared that they were expecting their first child together, and a few days later revealed that they were pregnant with twins.
"I am still pretty newly pregnant, and there’s so much more to come, but we are so excited to be growing our family with Arlo as the coolest older sibling!" Farago wrote in her first pregnancy announcement on Instagram.
The following day, the influencer opened up about her shock over the positive pregnancy test in an interview with PEOPLE.
"It took me about a week to really know that it was true and get the positive blood test back from our doctor. I was just in shock," she said. "We were not expecting that. We thought it was going to be negative for sure, and then when we saw positive that early, we got a really early positive, we were like 'No.' "
They added that while they were not yet “prepared” for the baby, they were already brainstorming names.
"We have so many names," Farago said, adding that the couple like "unique names."
In June 2024, Farago told PEOPLE that though sleep has been hard to come by while pregnant, so far, everything is "going good."
"There's a lot of scares and things you don't realize can happen when you're pregnant and a lot of things you're learning every day. But everything is going good and we're hoping that it continues to go good. I'm in my second trimester now, so I'm feeling super great," she said.
"[In] her first trimester, she barely got out of bed, so I was just kind of doing everything, and now she's finally feeling good. So I have almost normal Francesca back," Sullivan added.
