Bing Maps offers numerous advantages over the Google Maps JavaScript API. Here are just a few of them:
Faster and more fluid map control
A developer API that "just makes sense"
More Powerful and Innovative API
Modular Framework
Enterprise Level Service
A Global Cloud platform
Faster and more fluid map control
When it comes to performance the Bing Maps has Google Maps beat. BingMaps can render a lot more data than Google Maps and can do so just asfast, if not faster. When dealing with small data sets on a standardbrowser this might not be that noticeable but if you need to display alarge data set or are using a mobile browser this increased performancemakes a big difference.
A developer API that "just makes sense"
Developers who have used both Bing Maps and Google Maps, often say thatthe Bing Maps API just feels right. It often takes less code to developan application and it fits together nicely. It "just makes sense". Sinceit takes less code to develop your application, it takes lessdevelopment time and means less code to maintain. Thus, providing youwith more time to focus on your core application.
The Bing Maps team has spent a lot of time innovating to make the BingMaps developer platform align with the needs of businesses. The teamspends a lot of time gathering feedback from customers and users to helpdefine which new features to add to Bing Maps. Some of the moreinnovative features in the latest version of Bing Maps include are:
Vector map labels which hide when overlapped by your data to ensureyour data takes priority and isn't cluttered.
A spatial math library that provides easy access to over 50 powerfulcalculations.
Multiple road map styles designed for business intelligence typeapplications. This includes a dark, grayscale and a high contrastmap style. These map styles allow the map to act as a canvas in thebackground and allows your data to stand out and be the main focusof your application.
Bing Maps has added a lot of accessibility support to help you meetyour accessibility goals.
New data visualizations such as Data binning layers provide new andengaging ways to gain insight into your business data.
Modular Framework
The Bing Maps control uses a modular framework to minimize loading offeatures and functionalities that may not be needed when an applicationis loaded, such as directions. The base map control consists of severalcore features such as support for pushpins, polylines, polygons, andtile layers. Modules allow users to load only the features andfunctionalities they need, when they need them, rather than having toload all features when the application loads. For a list ofmodules in Bing Maps, see modules. For additional information about the modular framework in Bing Maps, seeModular Framework.

The sole difference between Bing Maps and Google Maps may be the navigation style of the map. In Outlook, click on the file menu and scroll down to the bottom of the Info section and select "Manage Apps". This will take you to a webpage managing what add-ins are setup by default (probably by your administrator). In here, you can simply disable the Bing Maps add-on and it should no longer show that bar.

Both search engines deliver high-quality content, but Google has a much bigger search index to pull results from. Bing, on the other hand, uses generative AI to make searching more assistive and (at least potentially) more fun. Each search engine comes with an accompanying mobile app.

Bing Maps keeps only one set of imagery, and it is stitched together like a blanket that wraps the earth. This means all imagery has a date range, not a date and as noted, as you mentioned, you want a year, but in the response, Bing Maps can only provide a range, sometimes, it may be across a year.
Microsoft Bing Streetside offers street view via right click in Bing Maps. The Mapillary project collects crowdsourced images from its users, which are licensed under a CC BY-SA license.
Google also has more features such as traffic information, more detailed location information, maps of indoor locations, and embedded maps. Bing Maps, although coverage is not expansive, does provide an easier application for users who are looking for POI.
The most obvious indicator is your browser behavior. If Google searches consistently redirect to Bing or if your homepage and search engine settings change without your interference, it's a clear sign of a browser hijacker.
If Microsoft's Bing is your preferred search engine, you can delete your data through the privacy dashboard. Microsoft explains that it collects information on the sites you visit to personalize your experience. To stop it from tracking your activity, click on Browsing history and delete the data.
For privacy, choose OpenStreetMaps, Apple Maps, or Here WeGo. For offline use, we recommend Sygic, Maps.me, or OsmAnd. For multi-stop route planning, consider Routific, Route4Me, or RoadWarrior. For live traffic info, look at Waze, ViaMichelin, or Bing Maps.
Basic - Geocoding support is limited and primarily only accurate to the city level. If an address is valid, Bing Maps attempts to resolve it, but a result is not guaranteed.
This is pretty neat as Bing Maps has much more data than Google. Also, MapPoint Web Services are not need, nor do they exist anymore. However, if you using it for your non-commercial app, it is free. You can do all of that using just Bing Maps.
