When signing up for a PayPal account, you have to provide personal information, such as your name, email, address and debit or credit card numbers. If any of this information changes, you can update it from the profile section of your account. As PayPal requires most of the information in order for you to keep using the service, you cannot delete anything without first replacing it with updated content. Some information, such as your debit or credit card number, cannot be deleted if your account balance is below zero.
Email Information
Your PayPal email information is accessible from the personal info section of your Profile page and can be changed by clicking the "Update" link. A list of email addresses associated with your PayPal account is displayed along with the status of each address. To delete an email address, click the radio button next to the address and then click the "Remove" button. You can only delete email information if the selected address is not set as the primary address.

Address Information
Your PayPal address information is accessible by hovering the mouse cursor over "Profile" and selecting the "Add/Edit Street Address" option. The "Remove" link is displayed directly below the address information. After clicking the "Remove" link, you must click the "Remove" button again to confirm that you want to delete this information. PayPal does not allow you to delete address information that has the "Home" status. The only way to delete a home address is to add another address and click the "Make Home" link in the status column. You can then delete the previous home address information.
Personal Information
PayPal does not allow you to delete personal information such as the name you used when you created your account, but you can make minor changes. If you registered using a nickname, fictitious name or your name has changed due to legal reasons, such as marriage or divorce, you can make changes from the "My personal info" section of your profile. Select the reason for the changes and follow the prompts to delete and replace the incorrect information.

Debit or Credit Card Information
Your debit or credit card information is stored in the "My Money" section of your PayPal profile. Click the "Update" link to display a list of cards and select "Remove" to delete card information. Card information cannot be deleted if there is a pending transaction or if you specified that the card should be used as backup payment for a bank payment. You will also have to bring your PayPal balance to zero or higher if it is negative before you will be allowed to delete card information.
