What happens if you bring X6-88 to Virgil? ›

Even though X6-88 ordered Kellogg to kill Virgil, bringing X6-88 to Virgil has no effect, nor does he even bring it up.

If sent to a settlement in forehand, X6-88 will not become hostile if one completes the main questline with the Railroad.

You can raise affinity with X6-88 by hacking terminals, entering Power Armors, crafting weapon and armor mods, and asking for more caps during quests. He dislikes it when you hop on Vertibirds, donating items to NPCs, and overall helping others in need.

You can also bring X6-88 along to destroy the Institute for the Railroad oddly as long as he not been sent back there of course beforehand. He will not turn hostile after and seems to think the Institute is still functioning even though he just gunned most of them down with you.
