XUU vs XUU.U vs XUH
While going through the blogs to find a new ETF, I came across these 3 ETFs.
Can someone explain the difference between these:
XUU - ISHARES CORE S&P US TOTAL MARKET INDEX ETF (TSX)
XUU.U - ISHARES CORE S&P US TOTAL MARKET INDEX ETF USD (TSX)
XUH - ISHARES CORE S&P US TOTAL MARKET INDEX ETF CAD HEDGE (TSX)

They all own the same basket of stocks.
The first two are traded in different currencies. So if you have US$ in your account, buy the .U
Keep in mind that XUU and XUU.U have different CUSIP numbers, so you can't buy in USD and then sell it for the CAD$ equivalent.
XUH has insurance against changes in the currency exchange between USD and CAD. In my opinion, don't buy this: that insurance costs money. If you're worried about the US dollar crashing, don't buy the US markets.
