Savory & Sweet Compound Butter Recipes

Not that I was totally oblivious of them though.

For instance I once tasted an apple butter when I was in New York several years back.

I found that one on the breakfast menu in Greenwich in a little cute coffee shop. And since I had no idea what it could be, I just had to order it of course. So on our table appeared a little bowl with something that resembled apple sauce but it was firmer.

Apple Butter

I spread it on a warm crispy bagel, took a bite and just love it.

Oh what an excellent way to start your day with! And once I was back home I also made it a few times.

But who had ever thought that there would be sweet compound butter versions too?

You just have to check them out straight away.
