Similar to the 4 on, 4 off shift pattern above, 7 on, 7 off sees employees working for a stretch of days (in this case, seven) immediately followed by the same number of days off. A 7 on, 7 shift pattern off isn't for everyone.

The 7/7 work schedule, commonly known as the '7 on 7 off schedule,' is an innovative work arrangement. In this model, employees work for seven consecutive days, typically in 12-hour shifts, followed by seven days off.

Weekly off refers to a day or days when the employees are not expected to do office work. It is also known as the rest days or days of rest.

In this 28-day cycle, the workers spend seven days at the site working 12-hour day shifts, then are off for seven days, then spend a week at the site working seven 12-hour night shifts, then have seven days off.

That means employees work five days out of seven, but those days aren't necessarily Monday to Friday.
