Is there a minimum income requirement to open a bank account?
Yes, you must present monthly income minimum of at least €2,500. For joint accounts, only one applicant needs to meet this income requirement.
How long does it take to open a bank account?
You can find our current turnaround time here. We do not offer expedited services.
Can you help me open an account in-person?
If you are currently in Portugal or have plans to travel to Portugal in the near future, we can help you schedule an in-person appointment to open your bank account in Portugal. If you go for this option, you can cut down the total time that it takes to open your account since you don't need to ship documents to Portugal. This option is available in Albufeira and Vilamoura.
What is the cost of this service?

Is there a minimum age requirement for opening a bank account?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old. When opening a joint account, both account holders need to meet the minimum age requirement.
Do I need my NIF document to open a bank account?
Yes, you need your NIF document to open a bank account, not just the number. If you don't have a NIF yet, you can order one here!
