Learn how to batch delete or void transactions.

Use the Batch Delete/Void Transactions utility (BDT) to quickly delete or void multiple transactions at once.

Important:

The is only available in QuickBooks Desktop Accountant 2018,Enterprise and Enterprise Accountant 18.0,and later versions.
You need to sign in as an Admin or External Accountant user.
The Batch Delete/Void Transactions tool doesn't support multi-currency.

Batch delete or void transactions

Important:You can't batch delete or void the transactions below. You can still delete them individually.

Invoices with reimbursed expenses, times, mileage, or items
Invoices with billable time and costs
Paychecks
Payroll Liability Checks
Sales Tax Payments
Online Bill Payments
Any transaction in a closed period

To delete them individually, open the transaction and selectEdit and thenDelete.

Delete or void specific transactions

Filter for specific transaction types

Show/hide linked or voided transactions

Select theShow linked transactionsbox to show transactions linked to the selected transaction (i.e. a paid invoice paid with an attached payment). These appear in the Available Transactions list in the Linked Trns column.

Select theShow voided transactionsbox to show transactions marked as voided. These appear in the Available Transactions list.

Filter transactions

To filter transactions on the Available Transactions list, select Enter date, Last modified date, orTransaction date fromthe Show transactions by dropdown.

Sort the columns on the Available Transactions list

Select and drag any columns on the Available transactions list to another location. You can also select the header to sort the list.
