Where can I buy Evolution?
Evolution is currently available on Switch, Steam for your PC or Mac, and available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for mobile devices.
I own the Base Game and Climate and Flight on Steam or Switch, do I have to buy it again for mobile?
No. You can enjoy Evolution for free on iOS and Android if you have purchased on Steam or Switch. Please use your Evolution account details from the Steam or Switch version to unlock access on your mobile device.
Do I need to buy the Base Bame on more than one platform?
If you purchase the base game on Switch or Steam, you can play for free on Mobile. If you purchase on iOS or Android, you can login to the other mobile platform and play for free (ie, buy on iOS, play on Android). However, because the base game on Steam and Switch is premium, you will need to purchase it separately there.
Do I need to buy Climate, Flight and Promo Packs on more than one platform?
No. Once you purchase the Climate expansion or the promo packs or stained glass cards, you will be able to use it on any platform you play on. Even if you buy Climate on mobile, you can use it on Steam or Switch for free, assuming you’ve already purchased the base game for those platforms.

Will the expansion Flight be added to the game?
Yes! It’s available now.
Does Evolution have Hot Seat Play or Pass-and-Play?
Yes, it does!

I’m in Beta and all of my progress is gone. Where did it go?
When in Beta, players sign into a separate test server. This server is independent from our live server and things like progress, achievements, and unlocked avatars do not follow over. This is to ensure our engineers have a clean slate for diagnosing and resolving any issues. You may return to the live game by opting out of Beta, uninstalling, and reinstalling Evolution.
Why can I not use the Stained Glass Cards in Climate?
The Stained Glass Cards are only available for play in the base game of Evolution.
I found a bug in the game. What’s the best way to notify you?
Please send us a ticket through our in-game Feedback feature. These tickets pack a lot of useful information our engineers can use to diagnose and resolve issues.
Why is there a limit of 5 species?
To optimize evolution for all platforms, especially mobile phones, we opted to cap the number of species that can be out on the board. Through testing and crunching numbers, we found the sweet spot at 5, as only a very small percentage of the time can a player sustain 6 or greater species for more than one turn. If you can keep five species alive, you’re winning!
Can I play Evolution across multiple devices?
Yes! If you have purchased the base game on more than one platform, you can log into the game from multiple devices with the same login info to access your rankings and progress. Any expansion and promo pack purchases will be unlocked on all platforms.
