Your Samsung Accounthas multiple benefits:itenables you to keep Samsung apps synced across your Samsung devices, gives access to Samsung Pay,enables you to getnews and discounts, anduse the Find My Mobile serviceto keep track of your phone, amongst others.
Your Samsung account ID will normally be your email address. To reset your password or find your Samsung Account ID, visit theSamsung Account homepage.
First, make sure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or data network.
Set up a Samsung Account
1Go to settings then tap cloud and accounts or accounts and backup if you do not see this option go to step 2
2Tap "Accounts". If you do not see this step, go to Step 3.
3Tap "Add Account" .
4Tap "Samsung account".
5Tap "Create Account" to create a new account, or "Sign in" to sign in to an existing account.
If you are setting up your account for the first time you will be prompted to read the Terms and Conditions. Tap"Agree" to continue.
Please note: You can click on the terms in bold to read the details.
Fill in your email address, choose a password, enter your first and last name and date of birth, then tap "Create account".
Verify your email address by clicking on the link sent to you via email.
6Your Samsung Account is now set up on your mobile device.
Log in to a Samsung Account
Once you have set up your Samsung account on your phone, you will be automatically logged in on that device. You can also log into your Samsung account on your computer by following the instructions below.
1Visit the Samsung Account homepage.
2Click “Sign in”.
3Enter your email address and password and click “Sign in”.
4Enter the two-step verification code sent to your phone and click “Verify”.
Remove a Samsung Account
To remove a Samsung Account from your device, you need to know the password. If you have forgotten the password, first reset the password online, then log in and remove account by following the instructions below.
If you can't access the email address linked to your Samsung Account, you will need toperform a factory resetusing the buttons on your device.
1Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup" or "Cloud and accounts". If you do not see this screen, go to Step 2.
2Tap "Accounts". If you do not see this step, go to Step 3.
3Choose the account you would like to remove.
4Tap "Personal info".
Please note:if the message "Processing failed" is displayed, make sure that your device is connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi or data network.
5Tap the More options icon. Tap "Remove account", then tap "Remove".
6Enter your Samsung Account password, then tap "Done" to remove the account from your device.
7Your chosen account will now be removed.
Delete a Samsung Account
1Log in to your Samsung Account
2Click on your account name.
3Select "Samsung Account settings".
4Click "Delete Account".
5Click "Delete" to confirm.
Change email address
If you want to change the email address associated with your Samsung account:
1Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup" or "Cloud and accounts". If you do not see this screen, go to Step 2
2Tap "Accounts". If you do not see this step, go to Step 3.
3Choose the account you would like to change the email address for.
4Tap "Personal info".

5Tap the email address you’d like to change.
6Tap “Change”.
7Enter the new email address that you wish to use, then tap “Change”.
7You will have to verify this change using a code sent to your phone.
How to change your Samsung Account mobile number using two-step phone verification
If you are unable to log into your Samsung Account using two-step verification, follow the steps below to update your phone number:
1Go to Settings
2Tap on Accounts and backup
3Tap on Manage accounts
4Select Samsung Account
5Tap on My profile
6Tap on Security and privacy
7Tap on Two-step verification, then enter your password
8Under Verification methods, tap Text message
9Tap Add
10Enter your phone number, then tap Send code
10Enter the code in the space provided, then tap Verify
PC
1Go to the Samsung Account website
2Click Sign in and enter your login details
3Click on Security then enter your password
4Under Password and security click Two-step verification
5Click Text message
6Click Edit personal information
7Click Add phone number
8Enter your phone number and click Send code
9Once you receive the code, click Verify
If you can’t log into your Samsung Account because you have a new phone number, please try the following:
1Check to see if you have another Galaxy device on which you are already logged into your Samsung Account. If you do, select Verify with Galaxy device.
2If you don’t have another device logged into a Samsung Account, you can authorise the login using the codes shared when you first set up your Samsung Account.
3If the above options are unavailable, please contact Samsung Support for further support.
Change password
1Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup".
2Tap "Accounts".
3Tap the account.
4Tap "Password and security".
5Tap "Change password", then tap "Next".
Please note:changing your password will sign you out of your account on all your devices.
6Enter your current password and your new password, then tap "Save".
Reset password
Follow the steps below if you have forgotten your password or Samsung Account ID and you're locked out of your Samsung Account.
1 Go to your Samsung Account.
2Click "Sign in".
3Click "Find ID or Reset password?".
4Select either "Find ID" or "Reset password", then enter the required information.
5Check your email inbox, then click the link in the email you have received from Samsung Account.
6Enter your new password and retype to confirm.
7Your password has been reset.
Back up or restore data
You can use your Samsung Account to back up or restore your data or set your device to create backups automatically.

Customise notifications
To manage which Samsung Account notifications you wish to see (or switch them off entirely):
1Go to "Settings", then tap "Apps".
2Tap the More options icon.
3Tap "Show system apps".
4Scroll down, then tap "Samsung Account".
5Tap "Notifications".
6Tap "General notifications", then tap to select your preferences.
Remove a notification
To remove a notification is currently displayed on your lock screen:
1Tap and hold the notification.
2Tap the switch to deactivate "Allow Notifications" or "Show Notifications".
