You can disable the contactless functionality on your debit card using the 'Card payment controls' within our mobile app. You can choose to toggle this functionality on and off in real time, preventing all debit card contactless payments including:
- Contactless purchases
- Apple Pay and Google Pay when tapping your device
To stop contactless payments on your debit card all you need to do is:
- Open up the mobile app
- Select the account and card you wish to apply the stop to
- Select ‘Manage My Card’
- Click ‘Card payment controls’
- Turn on the Contactless toggle
You will be shown a screen asking you to confirm that you want to stop contactless payment functionality on your debit card. Once confirmed, your debit card will not allow contactless payments.
You can reactivate contactless payments by turning off the Contactless toggle.
