Go to https://metamask.io/download/.
- Select your browser (Chrome) and click the "Install MetaMask" button.
- Choose “Create New Account” and follow the instructions to set up your password.
- Next, make sure to save your 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).
Input MetaMask into the search bar.
- Either click 'Get' or tap on the name of the app to see more details. Complete the usual App Store download confirmation process.
- Once installed, open the app and follow the prompts to create your wallet.
- Back up your Secret Recovery Phrase somewhere safe and offline!

Manually updating Metamask on Chrome
- Open your Chrome browser and right click on the Metamask logo in the toolbar.
- Select Manage extensions. Extension page opens in your browser.
- In the extension page, toggle on the Developer mode feature.
- Click the Update button. Metamask updates to the latest version. You're done.
If nothing happens, the most common reason is because you have more than one browser-based wallet installed and active. You'll need to disable other wallets in order for MetaMask to work properly. Once you have disabled other wallets, reload the page.
