Adding a token to MetaMask does not mean it is automatically displayed in MetaMask Portfolio's 'Overview', and vice versa. If a token isn't appearing in 'Overview', it may be because it is not on a supported network, or isn't a supported token on one of those networks.

Manually updating Metamask on Chrome
- Open your Chrome browser and right click on the Metamask logo in the toolbar.
- Select Manage extensions. Extension page opens in your browser.
- In the extension page, toggle on the Developer mode feature.
- Click the Update button. Metamask updates to the latest version. You're done.
MetaMask Extension automatically updates when you lock and then unlock the app. To do this, click on the jazzicon or blockie in the upper right hand corner, and click on 'Lock'. Enter your password and unlock MetaMask.
