The beloved 1980s adventure film, The Goonies, is getting a Lego treatment! This exciting announcement comes from the Lego Ideas division, which brings fan-generated sets to life through a voting system. The Goonies set, designed by Vaggelis Ntezes, is a 2,912-piece building set that captures the spirit of the movie. It features a diorama model of the pirate ship from the film, along with brick-built recreations of memorable scenes, including the Fratellis' hideaway, boulder traps, and One-Eyed Willy's treasure room. The set includes 12 minifigures, such as Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Andy, and Data, with new elements designed for Sloth's pirate hat and bandana, and Mama Fratelli's hair and beret. The Goonies set will be available via Lego's early access program on November 1st and will retail for $309.99. Additionally, shoppers who purchase the set before November will receive a bonus set, The Walsh's Attic, which recreates the scene where the kids discover the treasure map.
