Heather Lane Dougherty and Jeremy Don George, both of Midland, were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Davis at six-thirty in the evening on May 6, 2003. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Pastor Joe Gossett.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dougherty of Corpus Christi.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Don George of Midland.
Mrs. Amanda Millhouse, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bride was also attended by Mrs. Rachel Woods, Mrs. Shannan Mills, Miss Amy Anderson, and Miss Maria Chio. Avie Brooke George, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
The groom was also attended by Dave Sills, Rhett Newberry, Jay Tucker, and Jace Baker.
Heather is a graduate of Calellen High School in Corpus Christi and graduated from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science. Heather earned her MEd in Counseling at The University of North Texas. She is employed in Ector County ISD as an elementary school counselor.
Jeremy is a graduate of Andrews High School and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science. He is employed with Midland inpection firm Leedon Inspection.
Following a honeymoon in Rivera Maya, Mexico, the Georges reside in Midland.
