Odin is the overarching antagonist of the manga/anime series Record of Ragnarok and a minor antagonist in its manga spin-off Record of Ragnarok Forbidden Legend - Apocalypse of The Gods.
He is a major antagonist in the First Round and the Second Round, a minor antagonist in the Third Round and the Fourth Round, the overarching antagonist of the Fifth Round, a major antagonist in the Sixth Round, a minor antagonist in the Seventh Round and the Eighth Round and the overarching antagonist of the Tenth Round of the Ragnarok Tournament.
Odin is a prominent deity, a Chief God, Thor's father and the King of the Norse Gods, whose ultimate goal is to exploit the Ragnarok Tournament and Siegfried's imprisonment to resurrect the Primordial Gods by sacrificing his body. He is also a future Gods' representative of the Gods Fighters.
He is voiced by Show Hayami, who has also voiced Sōsuke Aizen in Bleach, Zarbon in Dragon Ball Z, Gibeon in Pokémon Horizons: The Series, Ghetsis in Pokémon Generations, Yomi in Riki-Oh and Enrico Maxwell in Hellsing, in the Japanese dubbed version of the anime adaptation. He is voiced by Bill Butts in the English dub.

Appearance[]
Odin has the appearance of an elderly man wearing formal clothes. He has long hair, a long beard and a patch over his left eye. The color of his hair and clothes are different according to the reference media: in the anime they are black and the clothes have yellow patterns, in the manga they are white. He almost always carries two ravens on his shoulders, .
Personality[]
Odin is a man of few words like his son Thor. He rarely speaks, and instead he speaks for his two ravens , who often express what Odin is thinking at the time, even if they have their own personalities. He does not like tricks and pranks, especially those Loki plays on him. It seems that Odin is a battle maniac who is very interested in fighting.
Odin is very sensitive and gets easily angry when someone disturbs him for too long or asks him uncomfortable questions, however he is also ready to smile evilly when everything goes according to his plans, and even when these plans risk being revealed. He is a manipulative and strategic Deity, ready to exploit every possibility, such as Siegfried's imprisonment and the Ragnarok Tournament, to achieve his final goal: resurrecting the Primordial Gods by sacrificing his body.
Biography[]
Odin is the leader of the Norse Pantheon and the father of Thor. At a certain point, Siegfried steals Odin's "Magic Sword Gram" and kills Odin's beloved Fire Dragon, Fafnir, reasons why Odin has him locked up in Tartarus, the prison of Helheim, although the real reason why he is been imprisoned is unknown, as Siegfried's crimes are not enough to justify imprisonment in Helheim.
In the 2000 B.C. Odin attended the Gods' Council which decreed the survival of Humanity and, subsequently, that of the XXI Century in which it was decided that Humanity must be exterminated, although Brunhilde convinces the Gods to organize Ragnarok. Following this, Odin is chosen by Zeus as one of the Gods Fighters to represent the Gods during the competition, however Odin seems to plan to kill Brunhilde once the Ragnarok Tournament is over, having realized that she intends to use it to free Siegfried.
Odin observes all the Rounds in his post, with commenting on the various encounters for him. During the Fifth Round Odin and Zeus interrupt a battle raging in the arena garden where Buddha, Kojiro Sasaki, Soji Okita and Isami Kondo were facing Loki and the Seven Lucky Gods. Once everyone is gone, Odin smiles wickedly after Zeus tells him that the Ragnarok Tournament isn't going as they planned, destroying all life around to him.
When Buddha betrays the Gods during the Sixth Round, Odin threatens him telling him the consequences of siding against the Gods, but Buddha is not intimidated and wins the Sixth Round, defeating a revenant Hajun who risked interrupting Ragnarok. Discovering that it was Beelzebub who brought Hajun back to life, Odin joins him and warns him that the Ragnarok Tournament has been waiting for a long time and that he will not allow anyone to stand in his way, even if Beelzebub is not frightened by his words, but intrigued.
At the end of the Ninth Round Odin participates in a meeting between all the remaining Gods Fighters in which it is decided to quickly obtain the last two victories that the Gods need to win the Ragnarok Tournament. Anubis offers to fight in the Tenth Round, but is overtaken by Susano'o no Mikoto who decides to fight in the Tenth Round. However, shortly before the start of the Tenth Round Buddha reaches Odin and, having explained to him that he has discovered that Siegfried is a prisoner in Tartarus, asks him what the connection is between his imprisonment and the Ragnarok Tournament. An irritated Odin attacks him, but Buddha is saved by Beelzebub, who parries the blow of the Norse God and reveals that Odin's wish is to resurrect the Primordial Gods by sacrificing his body. Odin is not scared and prepares to attack Buddha and Beelzebub, but Thor intervenes and explains to the three not to dishonor the fighters who died in the Ragnarok Tournament with external fighting and to let the field determine who wins and who loses. The subsequent intervention of Sakata Kintoki and Adamas convinces Odin to desist, and so he retreats together with Thor and Huginn & Muninn.
Powers and Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: Being a Norse God and the King of the Norse Pantheon, it can be deduced that Odin is quite experienced and strong. He's also smart enough to figure out tricks, like when Loki transformed into Thor and Odin recognized him right away. As a God, Odin has an unlimited lifespan, will not die of old age, possesses physical abilities far superior to those of any ordinary Human being and his body cannot be harmed by deadly weapons. However, he can be injured and killed by physical attacks with superhuman strength or by Divine Weapons.
Master Spearman: Odin's main weapon is the Gungnir, a huge spear, and he is able to summon it to his hand in an instant and wield it perfectly, to the point of being able to destroy everything around him with a single attack.
Menacing Aura and Life Decay: Odin has a menacing aura and presence that strikes fear into all who look upon him. He can frighten the most powerful Humans and Gods with his mere presence. Odin seems able to generate a strange wave capable of causing nearby plants and flowers to wither, die and disappear.
