Piggy Bank (2024)

The Piggy Bank is a premium mechanic in Egg, Inc that allows you to get golden eggs.

Mechanics[]

The Piggy Bank increases by a number of Golden Eggs every time something is upgraded or purchased.

You can crack it for USD5.99, £5.79, AUD$9.99 or €6.49 each time, which will reset the counter to 0 and give you all the Golden Eggs inside. Contract goals and the Daily Gift Calendar may also add Golden Eggs to the Piggy Bank and even double it. There is a special event which reduces the price by 33%.

Bonuses[]

Each time the Piggy Bank is cracked it gains a bonus, starting at 2% on the first level, 25% on the second level, and 10n+10% after that point (e.g. level 6 would have a 70% bonus). In other words, starting at level, multiply the contents of the piggy by (n+11)/10.

Piggy Cap[]

At a certain point, the Piggy Bank fills up and cannot be incremented by buying things. This is a soft cap, though, and the Piggy Bank can still be increased with contract or Daily Gift Calendar rewards.

• Prior to level 10, the cap is 10,000n-2500 where n is piggy level
• At level 10 and up, the cap is 45,000+5,000n, where n is piggy level.

Capped Piggy Total[]

If you have a Piggy at its cap (perhaps you just cracked it, so neither the calendar nor any contracts have pumped it up yet), and it is level 10 or higher, its actual total yield will be , where n is piggy level.

Piggy Fill Formula[]

The way piggy fill works is each action listed below gives a base value, the game then applies a formula also listed below to the base value, which gives the amount of 'raw' piggy (without level, ULTRA and event bonus). This is only relevant when your piggy is not full, which is right after it's cracked, or during an unlimited piggy fill event.

The total GE in your piggy per action would be: (base value formula) * event * level bonus * ULTRA bonus, where (base value formula) are the values/formulae mentioned above, event is the piggy fill event, level bonus is the level bonus, and ULTRA bonus is the ULTRA bonus (25% for Standard, 40% for Pro). Thus, consuming an item at piggy level 14 would give 102 'raw' piggy, if there's a 4x piggy fill at the same time, it would be 408. ULTRA and level bonus apply on top of that value. Buying 1 quantum bulb will always net you a profit, since it costs 10GE and returns 25 GE base value.

Strategy[]

Note: There are unlimited levels - although the image stops changing after level 7. The strategies below only are intended for people that are willing to spend their real money into the piggy bank.

Keep in mind that you need 32,022,479 to get all Epic Research plus the Hyperloop and fully upgraded Fuel Tank. 15.3 million of this is from the fuel tank. One way you can maximize your return is to wait until your piggy has enough in it to buy all remaining purchases, then wait for a sale and crack it. If you do this, you will only ever need golden eggs after that for boosts or Artifacts. You should buy this over the other offers such as truckloads, as this is the cheapest and most efficient way to get golden eggs while still paying for them. It is important to know that following the Artifacts Update, x2 and x3 rewards are no longer obtainable through contracts. They have all been retroactively replaced with Artifact Case's, containing a set amount of artifacts based off the 0 star, standard length version of the players highest unlock time rocket at the time of claiming the reward.

No Cap events are events that temporarily remove the cap on the piggy. Since the introduction of ULTRA, they have been only existed as ULTRA exclusive events, and the events themselves have ranged from 30mins - 1 hour.

How to use No Cap events to their fullest potential[]

Note: This strategy is extremely aggressive and intended for late game players.

What you need:

• ULTRA subscription (ULTRA Pro when cracking piggy recommended)
• Unlimited piggy event
• A ton of artifacts

The Prep

The fastest way to getting a 1 billion GE piggy is starting your prep as early as you can. This means:

1. Do NOT consume any artifacts!! If you do not like your inventory cluttered, you can demote shiny artifacts, but save ALL of your commons
2. Send exliners regularly so that you're consistently building up your artifacts, send short hens during dubcap and finish off with dubcap exliners right before dubcap ends
3. Do NOT consume your stone fragments
4. This ones a bit tough to do but try to be available each day when the new daily events drop. The most common time for the unlimited piggy event has been when daily events start on Saturday. Events start at 9AM PST each day. 1st event: 9AM PST for 1 hour, 2nd event: 9AM PST for 1 hour, 3rd event: 3PM PST for 1 hour, 4th event: 9AM PST for 30 minutes, 5th event: 9AM PST for 30minutes
5. I'd recommend having ULTRA regularly so that you are not scrambling to buy it during the unlimited piggy. However if this is not something you are able to do, buy ULTRA Pro the day of the event, to make use of the 40% piggy boost.

The Event

Rules:

Rule #1: Do not demote or consume anything you use regularly or plan to use later on

Part 1

1) Check the duration of the event in game, and budget your time accordingly. Most events have been 1 hour which should be enough time to demote/consume everything, however if the event is 30 minutes long make sure you save some time at the end to consume stone fragments, as that gives the most piggy fill (saving the last 5 minutes of the event for consuming frags should be plenty of time).

2) Reduce the amount of lag that you will get from demotion/consumption by turning on low performance mode in settings, and also switching to a less GPU intensive shell like "Game Pieces" or "Voxel"

Part 2

You do not have to follow this guide exactly. Keep shiny artifacts you regularly use. Keep at least 1 artifact of each type if you use it regularly.

• 3) Consume these stones (again, remember rule #1)
• T1 - T2 Clarity (do not consume T2 if you're planning on doing EnD soon)
• T1 - T2 Life
• All Quantum (do not consume T3 + T4s needed or planned to use for contracts)
• T1 Dilithium
• T1 Soul
• All Terra
• All Tachyon (do not consume T3 + T4s needed or planned to use for contracts)
• All Shell
• All Lunar

3) Buy cheap boosts, specifically bulbs. Buy them ONE AT A TIME. 1 click of buying 5 nets the same amount of piggy as buying 1. You can buy multiple different boosts at the same time.

4) Prestige a bit to make use of the rest of the event, however this only gives you maybe 5% of what consuming should of given, so its not that big of a priority.

General tips:

• Following the list of actions in the table above, you want to have a high volume of "actions" with the limited time you have during the event. The best way to do that is through mass demotion/consumption of artifacts.
• You will experience a lot of lag/freezing when you hit consume all on the artifacts, once you click confirm, let the app do its thing and don't click on anything else, or else your phone might crash and it may cause you to lose the artifacts without anything in return. If the lag is too severe, consuming artifacts in halves might ease the lag a bit.
• If Kev (the developer of the game) begins to introduce shorter unlimited piggy events, it may be wise to demote all your artifacts beforehand, so that you are wasting less time on laggy demotion, however of course you will have a reduced amount of interactions, use your discretion on your phone specs / previous piggy events experience to make the call yourself.
  • The past 2 Unlimited Piggy events have been 30 minutes as opposed to the previous 1 hour as of the 18th of March, 2024. Therefore the advice above should be strongly considered.
• The bulk of the piggy comes from consuming fragments, but you gain a lot of those fragments through consuming artifacts, hence the order.
• From my observations in the first event, T1 books gave the most T1 shells, which gave the most piggy, if you want to solely focus on making that bank, you could focus BoB Exliners.
• Buying boosts also costs GE to purchase, the only profitable boost is the warming bulb.

Trivia[]

• The piggy bank used to cost $2.99, £2.99, or €2.99 but this was changed on 14 July 2019 after the $1 piggy sale. It was increased again with the Contracts v2 update on May 1st, 2023.
• A piggy at level 9 will give you exactly double due to the +100% level bonus
• Roughly until the 27th of March 2024, the piggy formula for levels <10 was 7,500+1,000n
