Serve it at your next party or gathering. It is effortless to make and looks impressive. Loaded with flavor. A must make recipe.
I’ve already shared with you a recipe for baked brie with cranberries. It tastes heavenly and it is a hit evary time I host a holiday party.
With baked brie, it is important that you prepare it right before you are ready to serve, otherwise you are missing out on the creamy and runny experience.
There are numerous baked brie recipes on the web, but very few are savory. I do have a sweet baked brie recipe here – Baked Brie With Cranberries.
Yes, Brie goes well with apples, citrus, nuts and some other juicy fruits, but I recently discovered how well it goes with flavorful pesto and sun dried tomatoes.
Plus some people in my family are not big fans of sweet appetizers and I desperately needed to come up with a savory baked brie recipe. This turned out to be super easy!
I prefer to bake the brie without puff pastry. I just love the taste this way. No need for puff pastry wrap, it makes the appetizer too heavy often times and requires extra time to make. I love to keep things simple.
I lined a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then placed the brie round over it. I spread some pesto on top and added chopped sun dried tomatoes. Baked for 15 minutes at 350 F.
You can bake for less time at a higher temperature (375 F), but I did not want to risk and burn the sun dried tomatoes. Then I topped the brie with toasted pine nuts, bacon (totally optional) and chopped basil.
Speaking of holiday appetizers, menus and meals, no holiday/party table is complete without a bottle (bottles) of good quality wine. At least in my opinion.
This is why today, I decided to pair thisSavory Baked Brie Appetizer With Sun Dried Tomatoes Recipe with a bottle of Cameron Hughes Chardonnay.
I’ve been thrilled with the opportunity to tryCameron Hughes Wines and to be able to serve them to my family and friends this holiday season!
This is the first time I have the opportunity to try Cameron Hughes Wines and I’m impressed.Exceptional wine with Extraordinary Value. reasonable prices –Great wine doesn’t have to be expensive.
Their mission is simple: buy the best possible wine for the best possible price.
I got to try their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet. All three wines tasted great.
