American Association of University Women Educational Foundation (AAUW) Selected Professions Fellowships
The American Association of University Women Educational Foundation (AAUW) Selected Professions Fellowships are given to women who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States who have achieved high standards of academic excellence and show promise of distinction in their respective fields. There are no restrictions on an applicant’s age or institution of study within the United States.
Fellowship and grant recipients unergo a highly competitive selection process. Academic excellence, commitment to improving the human condition, and the promise of continued impact are cornerstones of the rigorous criteria.
Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited U.S. institution during the fellowship year and should be pursuing a course of study in the U.S. over the full academic year. Priority is given to women who do not already hold a master’s or first professional degree.

Association of Black Women Physicians Rebecca E. Le, M.D. Scholarship
Association of Black Women Physicians Rebecca E. Le, M.D. Scholarship presents awards to recipients are female medical students who are permanent residents of Southern California or enrolled in Southern California medical schools. The awards are based on financial need and academic merit.
Bangasser Medical Student Scholarship
This scholarship honors Ronald P. Bangasser, M.D., a physician known for his contributions to health care, medicine and his community. Qualified students will have the opportunity to apply for a $2,500 grant. The intent is to defray tuition for the scholarship recipient. Deadline for submission of application is March 30.

Blinded Veterans Association Kathern F. Gruber Scholarships
Spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren of blinded veterans are eligible for the annual Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship and Thomas H. Miller Awards to assist them with their higher education tuition. The scholarships are awarded based on merit through an application process that is evaluated by a committee. Gruber and Miller scholarships are for one year only, but recipients can re-apply and receive the award up to four times. The scholarships are intended to be used to defray a student's educational expenses, including tuition, books, and other academic fees.
Scholarship payments will be made by the BVA directly to the educational institution.

Board Vitals Medical School Scholarship
The Board Vitals awards scholarships to twomedical school students who have shown strong academic standing and a desire to improve society by tackling a critical issue in healthcare. A first-place winner will receive $2,500 and a second-place winner will receive $1,000, both in the form of a VISA Prepaid Card. Five third place winners will receive 50% off a Board Vitals question bank.
To apply, you must be a resident of the United States who is currently enrolled as a first, second, third, or fourth-year medical student in an accredited M.D./D.O. school located in the United States.
Participants must apply online and submit a 500-word essay or 2-minute video on what you think the next major advancement in healthcare will be.
Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for Graduate Students
The Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for Graduate Students is ten scholarships, totaling up to $100,000, are available for current graduate students from underserved or marginalized communities, including minority, LGBTQ+, low-income, and first-generation college students.
CarIndigo Car Review/Essay Scholarship for Hispanic and Latin Students
The CarIndigo Car Review Scholarship program offers a $1,000 grant for Hispanic & Latin community students. This grant can be used by the students to fuel their future endeavors like college or any other business-related activities that are aimed towards the betterment of the community.
The students applying for the CarIndigo Scholarship must be pursuing the under-graduate/post-graduate program from an accredited university. Moreover, the scholarship program is only aimed towards the Hispanic & Latin community members, who are permanent residents of the United States of America.
The candidate must be 18 years or older during admission.
Chesapeake Urology Associates Scholarship
The Chesapeake Urology Associates Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded based on academic merit and financial need. The scholarship award is for students pursuing medical education in any medical field.
Chinese American Physician Society (CAPS)
Chinese American Physician Society (CAPS)is offering scholarships of $2,000to $5,000annually to students in United States medical schools. The CAPS scholarships are open to all medical students in need of financial aid regardless of their hometown, sex, race, or color. Applicants are judged according to their academic achievement, financial need, community service records, and essays. Special credit is also given to those who are willing to serve in Chinese communities after their graduation.

Daughters of the American Revolution
Daughters of the American Revolution members are passionate about educating the youth of America and providing various scholarships and awards to outstanding students throughout the country.

Diverse Medical Scholars Program
The Diverse Medical Scholars Programis offered by the United Health Foundation and the National Medical Fellowships. It started in 2013 to increase the number of medical providers working with underserved communities.
Every year, the program awards a $7,000 scholarship to 29 different medical students. To apply, you need to complete a 200-hour community health project at the location of your choice. And the fourth-year medical students will need to give an oral presentation about their project.
You will also need to meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Identity as African American, Latino, Native American, or Asian American
- Be a U.S. citizen
- You must be in your second, third, or fourth year of medical school.
- Have a site mentor who can guide you on the community health project.
- Be committed to working in medically underserved communities.
Equality Scholarship Collaborative Scholarships for Graduate Health Care Students
Equality Scholarship Collaborative awards scholarships to honor and encourage California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community.
Applicant must be:
- Enrolled or committed to enroll by the interview date in an accredited graduate school in California or a California resident attending an accredited graduate school elsewhere in the United States;
- Pursuing a graduate degree in medicine, dentistry (DDS or DDM), pharmacy, physical therapy, or psychology
- In good academic standing; and
- Not have received an Equality graduate student scholarship before.

The Glenn/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging
The Glenn/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging have been established to continue to attract new generations of talented investigators to the field of aging research. The program is designed to give students enrolled in M.D., D.O., Ph.D., or combined-degree programs the opportunity to conduct a three-to-six-month research project focused on biomedical research in aging.
- Applicants must be M.D., D.O., Ph.D., or combined degree students in good standing at a not-for- profit institution in the United States.
- If accepted, applicants will be asked to submit a proof of enrollment form confirming their enrollment at a U.S. institution.
- Applicants may not hold another award or participate in another scholarship program concurrently with the Glenn/AFAR Scholarship

Indian Health Service (IHS) Scholarships for American Indians and Alaska Natives
The program specifies that applicants must have, or preference is given to those with, official documentation of tribal membership or proof that they are natural children or grandchildren of a tribal member. Scholarships are not limited to certain schools. Covered are tuition, books, fees, selected incidentals, tutorial services, equipment, and some travel expenses. Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) National Headquarters
Graduate awards are available to JACL members. JACL membership is open to everyone of any ethnic background. Selections are based upon the following criteria: scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and letters of recommendation. The Korean American Scholarship Foundation
The Korean American Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships of $500 to $5,000 to full-time students of Korean heritage enrolled in a 4-year college, university, or graduate/professional school. If extra funds are available, other students (non-Korean) may qualify for some scholarships. Inquiries and applications are accepted after April 1with a June 30deadline date.
Labor Union Programs
Medical students whose parents are members of unions should investigate the availability of financial assistance obtained through local or regional union scholarship and loan programs. Local union officials will be able to provide further details.
Medical School Scholarships for Women: The Lifelong Student
On top of its scholarship serving tribute to young women in the science fields, the American Medical Women’s Association also offers a more overarching scholarship for medical school tuition costs.
The AMWA awards four $1000 scholarships to females currently enrolled in medical school. However, this does not necessarily mean you are knee-deep in study. So long as you have gained acceptance to an accredited medical school, you can sign up.
Applications run through two periods of the academic year: August 1through September 30, and December 15through January 31. Inquire withinthe AMWA awards and scholarship page for more detailed info.
Medical School Scholarships for Women: The Chemistry Whiz
One of the more prized medicals school scholarships for women, the Young Women in Science Awards Scholarship was devised in 2008 by Wyeth and Roberta Rubin and recognizes exemplary student achievement in the organic and inorganic sciences and research.
Applicants are assessed on their presentation and commitment to innovative scientific research and knowledge.

Military Veteran Scholarships Online Guide

National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program
TheNational Health Service Corps Scholarship Programis a good opportunity for anyone willing to spend two years working in a medically underserved community. In exchange, you will receive two years of free medical tuition. You will also receive a monthly stipend to help with your living expenses.
To apply for this scholarship, you need to be pursuing a career as a primary care physician. The program is also available to dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse- midwives.
Native Forward Scholars Fund General Scholarship Listing
The Native Forward Scholars Fund provides scholarship aid to American Indian and Alaskan Native students from federally recognized U.S. tribes who are pursuing master's, doctorate or professional degrees in all fields of study. There are numerous listings of available scholarships.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Medical Research Scholars Program
A year-long research enrichment program designed to attract creative, research-oriented medical, dental, and veterinary students to the NIH intramural campus in Bethesda, MD. The MRSP is designed for rising fourth-year students (initial clinical rotations completed) but does not exclude other students with strong research interests from applying. Students engage in a mentored basic, clinical, or translational research project that matches their professional interests and research and career goals. The MRSP also provides an academic curriculum with content highlighting the process of scientific discovery, training in clinical protocol development and human subjects research, clinical teaching rounds utilizing the robust pool of patients enrolled in research protocols at the NIH Clinical Center, and academic leadership training. National Medical FellowshipsScholarships
The National Medical Fellowships’ (NMF) scholarships and awards aim to provide financial support to underrepresented minority medical students including: African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Americans, Asian-Americans (Vietnamese and Cambodian only), and Pacific Islanders. The organization offers many different scholarships offering ranging $5,000 – $7,000. Some of their most popular scholarships include the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)/Darrell G. Kirch, MD Scholarship, Dr. James Curtis Scholarship, and Franklin C. McLean Award.
Each of the NMF awards has specific requirements, but there are commonalities amongst them all. Each award will be given out based on academic merit, demonstrated leadership ability, and a commitment to serving medically underserved communities.

Physicians of Tomorrow Awards
The Physicians of Tomorrow Awardsis one of the more substantial scholarships medical students can earn to help support their education. There are 10 different Physician of Tomorrow Awards that medical students can apply to, each offering $10,000.
While each award has specific requirements, there are commonalities amongst the different awards. For each award, you must be a third-year medical student to be eligible. In addition, to apply to these awards, you must be nominated by your school dean and then submit your application which must include a letter of recommendation, a personal statement, school transcripts, and proof of your financial status.

Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship
Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans
The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowshipaims to help those who may be struggling to afford medical school due to family circ*mstances. This scholarship provides a great opportunity for first- generation students to qualify for special med school scholarships.
This award is one of the more generous medical school scholarships for new Americans. It provides a $90,000 tuition scholarship over two years.
Candidates for this scholarship must be under 30 years old at the deadline. They must fit one of the two following situations:
- Born in the United States to parents who were born outside the country as non-citizens.
- Born outside of the United States and were naturalized, adopted, or granted a green card/refugee status.
Interested applicants must apply online and submit two essays of 1,000 words each.

Tylenol Future Care Scholarship
The Tylenol Future Care Scholarship awards 10 different $10,000 scholarships and 30 different $5,000 scholarships. Scholarship funding is designed for medical students that want to specialize in patient care.
The program is open to undergraduate students and students currently in medical school, and the application process is easy. To apply, you will need to submit two essays and a copy of your transcripts. An independent committee reviews all the applications and chooses the scholarship recipients.
U.S. Army F. Edward Hebert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program for Medicine, Optometry, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine
The program permits selected students to be commissioned as officers in the U.S. Army Reserve while they are completing professional schooling. The program pays for tuition, books, lab fees and other expenses necessary to complete school. Also, students will receive a monthly stipend of over a $2,000 during the school year.
During the breaks, the student will receive officer’s pay while they train as part of the health care team and will be afforded the opportunity to work at one of the Army's major medical centers. Upon completion of school, students will be advanced to the rank of Captain.

USA Medical and Surgical Scholarship Program
The USA Medical and Surgical Scholarship Programoffers a bi-annual scholarship award of $1,500 for college and university students. To be eligible you must be studying:
To apply, applicants are asked to write an essay on how medical supplies or medical equipment has the biggest impact on healing, improving, or extending human lives. It is recommended that the essay is at least 1,200 words and it will be judged based on human impact, originality, relevance and writing quality.
U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program
The program pays for tuition, books, lab fees and other expenses necessary to complete school. Also, students will receive a monthly stipend of $2,279 and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. There is no military obligation until after your schooling is complete. Scholarship recipients must agree to one year of active-duty service for each year of support, with minimum obligation of 3 years after graduation. Start your application when you are applying to medical school or when you have been accepted to a medical school.

White Coat Investor Scholarship
The White Coat Investor Scholarship provides funding for medical students to “help those who wear the white coat a fair shake.” Every year, the scholarship gives out multiple awards equivalents to 1% of the White Coat Investor’s total profit and additional contributions from corporate sponsors and readers. The total cash given out has increased in every year. In 2019, they plan on donating over $65,000 cash and over $90,000 in cash and prizes including books and online courses.

In addition, you must submit an 800-1,200-word essay that can be about any topic that you would like to write about. Winners will be selected after a thorough judging process that consists of three rounds.
Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund
The Dolorez Zohrab Liebmann Fundis another example of all-inclusive scholarships for medical school. It is a competitive program, with JP Morgan Chase serving as the trustee.
This scholarship covers the entirety of the successful candidate's medical school tuition. It also provides an $18,000 stipend to cover living expenses.
This award is only open to US citizens who attend specific institutions. Applicants must show financial need to be considered.
The Gamma Mu Foundation Gamma Mu Foundation Scholarship Program
The Gamma Mu Foundation Scholarship program focuses on the critical needs of gay men living in, or having come from rural areas, who wish to pursue higher educational opportunities and professional career growth. Scholarships may be used to defray tuition, books and fees or other college-related costs at an accredited college, university, trade, or professional school.

Patient Care Foundation Medical School Student Scholarship
In order to improve patient access to care, treatment, and health education, the Patient Care Foundation of Los Angeles County supports the aspirations of medical students across LA County and promotes community service and mentorship by

ThePaul & Daisy Soros Fellowships For New Americans fellowship supports 30 new Americans, immigrants, or the children of immigrants, up to two years of graduate study in any subject. The fellowship provides a $25,000 stipend per academic year.

The Scholarship Fund of the Worcester District Medical Society awards scholarships to second, third, and fourth year medical students. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, financial need, and community service.
Eligible applicants must attend an accredited allopathic or osteopathic school and a legal resident of Central Massachusettsat the time of applying to medical school.Additionally, the student may not currently be on leave, in a gap year or a degree program such as an M.P.H. or Ph.D, or a fellowship year (ie: student research, global health, etc.)at the time the award is dispersed.
