How do I find my system specs on Mac? ›

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click General in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click About on the right, then click System Report. Tip: You can also press and hold the Option key, then choose Apple menu > System Information to open the system report.

When you open System Information, you see a system report containing detailed information about your Mac. The report includes: The hardware that's installed on or connected to your computer.

Go to System Settings > General > Storage. Find iOS Files on the list under Recommendations and the colored graph. Select the backup you want to remove and click Delete. Make sure to keep the latest backup for each device that you back up to your Mac.

If you can't remember your account name, open a Finder window, then choose Go > Home. Your account name appears next to the house icon at the top of the Finder window.

To check your PC hardware specs, click on the Windows Start button, then click on Settings (the gear icon). In the Settings menu, click on System. Scroll down and click on About. On this screen, you should see specs for your processor, Memory (RAM), and other system info, including Windows version.

Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac. Next to Memory, you'll see the amount of RAM your Mac has and its specifications.

Hold down ⊞ Win and press R . Doing so will open Run, which is a program that allows you to run system commands. Type msinfo32 and click OK. This opens your Windows computer's system information.

Apple considers Mac "vintage" if they were released between 5 and 7 years ago, and obsolete if older than 7 years. Obsolete Macs no longer qualify for service and support. Security updates are no longer available.

Go to System Settings and then Users & Groups. Locate the user you want to delete and click the 'i' next to it. Choose Delete User. Type in your admin password when prompted.

In the Finder on your Mac, choose Go > Go to Folder, enter /Users, then click Go. The deleted user's home folder is in the /Users folder, and its name is the same as the user's account name, followed by (Deleted).

Click the Apple icon and choose About This Mac. The Overview tab will provide the operating system version, processor, and memory information.
