The Importance Of Asking Your Audience Questions

Why?

Asking questions empowers your audience allowing them to become apart of your presentation. It will keep them from getting bored, make sure they listen to what you say, and provides you an opportunity to explain things that may not resonate easily. Asking questions adds a different element which can make your presentation more exciting and engaging!

How?

Start simple. Ask simple questions in reference to your presentation.

  • "What do you think?"
  • "Have you ever tried...?"
  • "How many people have...?"
  • "Stand up if you..."

All of these simple questions can be thrown into nearly any speech or presentation to liven up your audience, get them involved with your presentation, and ensure that you have their full attention.
