January 2024 Gasoline Price Updates
So, where's the cheapest gas as of January 2024?
- Wyoming has the cheapest gasoline prices in the U.S., where the average cost is $2.63per gallon. However, the state ranks15thin diesel prices at $3.64. Oklahoma leads in least expensive diesel prices at$3.38 per gallon.
- Utah has the second-cheapest gas, with the average cost hitting $3.54 per gallon.
- Coming in third place is Missouri, with gas prices at $2.645 per gallon.

- Hawaiihas the most expensive gas prices, with an average cost of $4.66 per gallon of gas.
- Oklahoma, Missouri,Colorado, Texas, and Montana had the top fiveleast expensive diesel prices.
Anews report by the AAAon Jan. 25highlighted new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The data showed gas demand dipped from 8.27 to 7.89 million b/d in the last week. Thenational average of $3.10 is two cents less than a month ago and 38 cents less than a year ago.
