Watermelon vodka co*cktails are perfect to sip on this summer! They’re fresh, light, refreshing, and look really summery and fun.
Nothing quite gets the party started like a fun, fruity co*cktail. Whether you’re having some friends over for a bbq or you just want to celebrate with your partner because you got both kids down for a nap, watermelon vodka co*cktails will your your go-to drink!
Ingredients for watermelon vodka co*cktails
Watermelon. I love using fresh watermelon here because it makes those co*cktails that much more delicious. You can use store-bought watermelon juice, it’s still delicious. But, nothing beats fresh!
Lime. The lime juice adds some tang and more freshness to this co*cktail.
Vodka. I was about to say this was the “star of the show” but then I realized this is a watermelon co*cktail so now I’m a bit confused 😜 Either way, don’t forget the vodka!
Triple sec. Just a little bit.
Agave. Watermelon is pretty sweet to begin with, but I’m someone that loves sweet co*cktails… ok sweet everything. I’ve got a serious sweet tooth if you haven’t noticed. But, I like to add just a bit of extra sweetness to this drink.
Ice. I wasn’t sure if I should include this as an official “ingredient” but, you need ice. I like to use crushed ice or small-cubed ice. If you have big cubes you can pop it in a ziploc bag and crush it with a meat tenderizer, or blend it up in small batches to crush the ice a bit.
How to make these watermelon vodka drinks
It’s so easy and only a few steps! Honestly, anyone can make these!
Blend. Place the ingredients in your blender and blend until combined.
Strain. Depending where you stand on the pulp v non-pulp debate, you can skip this step. I like to strain it because it makes the drink go down really smoothly and ensures no watermelon chunks get caught in your straw.
Crush your ice. Best case scenario, you have a fridge that makes crushed ice or you have one of those nugget ice makers. Or, maybe you bought pre-crushed ice. All are great options. If you’re like me and have none of the above, you can either pop your ice in your blender to crush it, or place it in a plastic ziploc bag and go to town on it with a meat tenderizer.
Pour & garnish. Fill the glasses with ice, pour the co*cktail over the ice and garnish with fresh lime wedges and watermelon.
What to drink this with
This is such a cool and refreshing co*cktail making it perfect for summer parties and bbq’s. Try this watermelon co*cktail alongside pasta salads like this Lemon Zucchini Burrata Pasta or this Asparagus Pasta Salad.
It’s also fun with some fresh tacos like these Instant Pot Pulled Pork Tacos + Fresh Pico de Gallo or these Salmon Tacos + Homemade Salsa.

Delicious! Very light and refreshing! The watermelon does a good job of concealing all the vodka, maybe too good 😂 If you like your co*cktail a bit sweeter maybe add another tablespoon of agave nectar because mine was not particularly sweet as is but that worked for me! Thanks for the great co*cktail recipe. This would be awesome for a summer party!
