I made mine with a fried corn tortilla your guac recipe ( added jalapeños) and some left over chicken!
Simple and delicious thanks!

Tostadas are always so crumbly to eat, I served these over a bed of lettuce - taco salad style. They were ok but nothing really special. My daughter added shredded cheese and black beans to hers.

Use a Serrano chili instead. Jalapeños are inconsistent with spicieness. One can be super spicy or you get a dud. Serranos are always perfect.

Just wanted to add that I put corn tortillas in the oven until hard-perfect inexpensive tostado shells!

Easy to make, but a little time consuming. I would double the guacamole part, one avocado was barely enough for four. I added a very thin layer of bean dip, which probably detracted from its healthy points, but helped the tostadas stay together as you ate them. Even my kids liked them!

Great tostadas, but it takes Moore than 20 min. to shred the chicken & chop the veggies (unless you have some helping hands). The smoked paprika gives the chicken a grilled flavor; don't sub with regular paprika. The gauc. and tomato salsa were also nicely seasoned.

My family loved this. I used 6 chicken breasts I had on hand but cooked it in a crock pot for two hours on high with a jar of salsa (16 oz), 3T lime juice, 1 package of taco seasoning and 3T fresh cilantro. So delicious!

Just had this for dinner and it was fabulous! Preparing just for me so eye balled the measurements. Only change was to add some crumbled cotija cheese which added a little tang and creaminess. Wasn't sure about a cold tostado, but it was really good. The recipe states it is no cook, not no effort, but found it came together quickly. Definitely recommend.

Super great! Everyone in my family loved them. Easy, fast, fresh, and delicious. I used two organic avocados and about 3 tbsp. tomato for the guacamole. Used one tomato + cherry tomatoes to make about 1 1/2 c. total. Used about three cups chicken. It made 11 tostadas (corn tortillas that I fried on the stove), two with chicken only for a picky eater. Served four well. Not to mention the nice presentation. My only question was why my jalapeno pepper tasted like a green pepper- there was zero heat. I must have made a mistake shopping. Anyway, a wonderful recipe that my Dad called one of the best things I've made and will make again and again ;)

Delish! Super fast to make. Had a hard time finding soft avocados cause I decided to make this at the last minute. :) the fresh tomatoes I think really heightened the taste. I agree with the other reviews DEFINITELY double everything if you want more than 2 tostadas. I doubled it and barely got 4.

My family loved this dish. I read the reviews before I made my grocery list, and I'm glad I did. I doubled the recipe so there would be enough to feed 4 people. There is a lot of chopping involved but with a good sharp knife, it goes by fast. The guacamole makes a great appetizer too. This recipe will go in the rotation for our weeknight dinners.

So easy to make and quick. Didn't have smoked paprika so just used plain chicken but still delicious from the flavors of pico de gallo topping. Added bed of greens (aragula salad mix) on top of guacamole spread and also added cubed avocados on top of chicken and pico. Definitely will be making again and again and again. Next time I'll try a vegetarian version with sliced avocados. :)

Simple and yummy. We grilled some chicken breast instead of using rotisserie chicken. Whatever fat/calories we saved by using the chicken breast, we made up for with extra guacamole!

This has become a favorite at our house, so much so in fact that our teenage daughter prefers this lighter, tastier version over traditional tacos. I can't find the flat shells around here, but started using the "stand 'n stuff" ones, with great results. The prep work for this recipe is slightly time consuming and a little messy, but so worth it. I've been making my own salsa, as suggested, but would consider buying fresh salsa at the grocery store to save time.

Delicious and easy. Rotisserie chickens get expensive, and I don't like dark meat, so I think I'll bake some bone in chicken breasts and use that next time. I love the seasonings. This was a big hit with my family. Also if you get regular corn tortillas you can spray them with cooking spray and bake them for 8 minutes at 450, and they get really crispy.

Wonderful! I left out the jalapeno since my husband doesn't like hot peppers. We also added warm refried beans to our "stack" on the tostada shell. Loved the garlicky guacamole and the tomato salsa; great fresh taste to both.

My husband doesn't like guacamole; my kids are weird about texture. So, I decided this would be a great recipe to try. Husband said all guac should taste like this; kids thought it was a blast to make their own tostadas. This is in our permanent rotation!

Wonderful! Full of flavour and very easy to make. I imagine that, over time, I'll be able to get these done in under 15 minutes as I memorize the recipe. I did add more cilantro to the salsa and also some to the guac. Highly recommend this recipe!

This recipe is awesome. The only thing I did different is just sliced my avocados instead of making guacamole. With the other ingredients (tomato, cilantro, onion, jalapeno), I made a pico and put it on top. This recipe is delicious!

Really enjoyed this recipe. I substituted venison for the chicken, because that's how I roll. The lime juice was the key ingredient. Will definitely be making again. Only made 6 tostadas, but that was perfect for us.

Me and my husband loved this dish. My kids just ate the tostadas and chicken but still liked it. I do agree that you would be hard pressed to make 8 tostadas out of this though. Surprise - I didn't even think I really liked guacamole but I loved this one. The only changes I made was that I didn't have any smoked paprika so I used Hungarian instead. And I had a hard time mashing my Avacado so I threw the guac in the blender and it worked fine. Will definately make this one again.

A super simple recipe for hot summer days. The second time I made it, I used grilled shrimp rubbed with chipotle seasoning in place of the chicken- Yum! Store bought pico worked well, and we made a little extra guacamole (one avocado mixed w/ a little of the pico de gallo) to have a few chips too.

My whole family loved this. I would definitely make this again! I did add a can of black beans. Two changes I would make: the rotisserie was pretty salty, so wither use cutlets or add no additional salt, and I would lighten up on the amount of lime the recipe calls for. I would serve this as my "salad" for a Tex-Mex themed dinner.

I really liked this so I gave it 4 stars, but it is not something I would really serve company. I had my doubts while making the recipe-mostly because I was unable to find a ripe avocado (I microwaved my unripe one-yikes, but it worked okay.) In spite of that, it was really yummy. I will make it again and plan ahead. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. I served it double layered and on torn up romaine lettuce.

This was really good and super easy. I used 1 large can of canned chicken (slightly less than two cups). My only problem with this recipe is that there is NO way it would make 8 tostadas. Maybe 5 if I stretched it, but I used all the guacamole, chicken and tomato mixture on 3 shells. This happens to be perfect for just me and my husband, but I have no idea how you could make it stretch for 8.

I cooked the chxn breast in boiling water with olive oil as I didn't want to go to the store for a rotesserie chxn. Once done, I shredded the chxn with two forks. Instead of the fried tostado, I used a whole wheat tortilla. I toasted the tortilla at 375 degrees for 5-6 mins til crunchy. Followed the rest of the recipe and at the end put some Mexican 4 cheeses and a dollop of light sour cream on top. YUM-O!!! Will definitely make again!

This is a great recipe and I'll definitely make it again. It did take me longer than 20 minutes but I chopped up the chicken into smaller pieces than the picture displayed. I also substituted a can of chopped tomatoes with onions and thought it was just as good. My husband loved it! Tastes fresh and only 7 WW points.

This was dinner last night and lunch today. Perhaps my favorite easy recipe ever. I added some of the jalapeno seeds for a touch of spice, but otherwise the only change I would recommend is doubling the recipe! The paprika really is the special touch here that makes the rotisserie chicken have the grilled aspect. Highly recommended! Also, I mixed the salsa and chicken mixture together and it was fine. That way I laid down a layer of guac and then simply topped with chicken/salsa. :)

I received my Cooking Light Magazine in the mail yesterday and I am always eager to do the cover recipe. The August issue has Chicken and Guacamole Tostadas - a 20 minute "no fuss" entree. The claim is true - it only takes 20 minutes AND quite enjoyable. Adding the paprika to the rotisserie chicken is a nice subtle touch. I especially liked the guacamole - maybe because of the lime juice.
